  1. Hi, I will get my 8200 this weekend and thought, it would be a good idea to have a backup of the internal SD card. Is this possible with the DEV MOD ? I thought, I saw some script here for the x200 series, but I am no more able to find it. Thanks in advance for your answer !!
  2. hi there.. longtime pioneer user and first time forum post member.. been searching the net trying to find what I specifically need and the actual name for what im needing.. maybe some of you have some knowledge as to what im actually trying to ask pioneer and united radio factory service. so this is what happened.. wife decided that the dash in my truck was really dusty.. told me she was going to clean it.. im like ok, great.. she sprayed windex all over my dash to clean it.. needless to say she sprayed the screen on my avic 8200nex and before she could get to it to wipe it off it r
  3. I have had an 8200 NEX for several months now and am generally happy with it. I'd be much happier if my Sirius signal never dropped out, but that's not a Pioneer issue. Anyway, every once in a while, maybe every couple weeks or so, the 8200 navigation software will not be able to pick up my current GPS location. The top of the screen simply reads "Looking for GPS signal" while the dots next to it continue to cycle back and forth and the map shows my last GPS fix. In the System Information, the GPS antenna shows as being connected ("OK"), but no satellites are detected. Any time I've had
  4. Does anyone know how many amps the 8200 unit drains from the battery when vehicle is off? I recently bought a used vehicle and shortly there after upgraded the head to an 8200 NEX. I also installed a new battery. After sitting for a few days, the battery is too weak to start the car. With all car components off, there is a .176 A drain on the battery which seems high. When I pull the radio fuse, the drain drops to .016 A. I appreciate if anyone can share what the expected range of the parasitic drain is for the 8200. <I think it is a great head unit
  5. My DVD has no sound output and wont let me put the volume up or down. It initially has sound but once it goes into chapters on the DVD there’s no sound. I bypassed the video in motion no problem there using the screen mod. Plays radio/iphone music no problem. any thoughts?
  6. I've got a weird backup camera issue with my 8200. Everything was professionally installed, and generally works well, but my backup camera only works intermittently. When I put the vehicle into reverse, the head unit will change to the reverse camera view, but about 50% of the time, it'll be a blank screen, and 50% of the time it'll be the camera feed. Sometimes while I'm backing up, the screen will either switch from the feed to a blank screen, or from a blank screen back to the feed. Other times, it'll stay blank the entire time I'm backing up, or show the feed the entire
  7. Hey folks, I just picked up an 8200NEX to be installed by the local shop later this week, but I have some questions so that I can be prepared going in. I understand the unit comes with a single USB extension cable. Presumably this will connect to the USB1 input on the back for Apple CarPlay. Questions: Assuming I have no intention of connecting an android phone, can I still make use of the second USB input? What benefit might this serve me? E.g., could I use this to charge a second device? What happens if I have two devices connected at the same time (say an iPhone to USB1 and an
  8. I have too many POIs on my NEX-8200 navigation screen. How can I remove them? Never mind, I see that they are called "place markers" in the menu.
  9. Does it matter? I would like to fine tune the EQ after the procedure.
  10. Thinking about updating to a 8200 from a Z2. I have a Z2 (or Z3?) presently in my old 2000 Ford Excursion. I seem to remember buy an adapter cable from Ford to Pioneer, to hook that up. Should I just wire in the plug or is there adapters available? Is there anything else I need? I saw something about Maestro RR idatalink. Not sure what that is actually. Do I need that too?
  11. Just installed a 8200 and it is stuck in camera mode, I am uploading a YouTube video right now and will link in the comments, I have tried everything any suggestions sint be frowned upon. Thank you.
