  1. I'm using a iPhone 4s with the new firmware 5.1.1 with my x930bt. Never had this problem until after updating the phone. The physical buttons on the x930bt that should skip forward or backwards are not working when using the ipod feature. Doesn't matter if I'm using bluetooth or the physical cable. The buttons do work when using Pandora or iHeart radio...or any other music app, just not the iPod. When I press the the forward skip button when using the ipod feature, the cover art for that song flashes as if it is the next songs cover art loading, but it isn't. And it never skips to the next son
  2. I have a newly purchased X940BT that I installed. Whenever I am listening to Pandora through the built-in Pandora app on the radio, the source will randomly switch to iPod and the screen goes black (like going into App Mode), and Pandora will keep playing. This is annoying because it seems to happen every other song or so. I would like it to stay on Pandora mode though, so I can give thumbs up or down, and see album art, but I constantly have to switch the Source back to Pandora. Same thing with Aha. It also does the same thing when I am listening to FM radio. The source will randomly swit
  3. So, I abhor Apple and their inferior products, and thus do not own an iPod or iPhone. It also makes no sense to me to spend so much money on a head unit for good audio quality, only to degrade it notably by using the stupid analog signal iPod cable. Thus, simply getting an iPod is not an option. What I do not understand is why Pioneer does not have voice recognition with regards to music when using an SD card or thumb drive that isn't an Apple product, and why it will not display album art. Has someone written software or created a hack that gets around this ridiculous limitation? Ther
  4. i wanted to show every one the best way to stream pandora... watch video's from and i device, even iphone 4s, and all ipods... listen to music and much more... 1. BUY PART - OPTION 1 apple users only- a isimple cable is76 about $25 on amazon as of 2/2012 ( this cable hooks into the bottom of your ipod like a charger does, on the other end of the cable it has all av composite ends video/audio/ and +/- ) or OPTION 2 any other audio/video users - with a head phone jack, android, even iphones - 3.55m to composite cable. cheap under $10. TIP- get the kind that fits your device.
  5. I've had this happen twice now and i'm not quite sure why. I leave my iPod in the car all the time - and only rarely take it out and use it by itself. This afternoon I started up the car - the Z130BT boots up and the iPod isn't on the selection menu. Open the glove box and it's connected but it is saying low battery - charging. So if it is playing - it is charging correct? Why would the iPod battery go dead if the unit is constantly charging? Part of the problem is that when it's connected to the Z130BT I don't think it shows the little battery icon on the top of the screen so if it's
  6. I have tried several different iPods with the same result. I plug it in, using the correct iPod cable, and everything looks fine. I can see my music, navigate, etc. However, I get no sound. Everything worked fine until about a week ago. I have pulled the unit to make sure cables were fine. I've reset to factory settings. Radio and other functions work fine, but no sound from any ipod. Am I missing something? Thanks!
  7. So I've tried searching for this problem/anoyance, but havn't had any luck finding exactly what I am experiencing. Here's what I have: Stereo - x920bt Cable - Pioneer CD-IU50V Device - iPod Touch 32gb Phone - Samsung Blackjack II (I know, I need to upgrade) - paired over bluetooth. Shouldn't be a factor. I've been using this setup for close to a year and I seem to have had this frustrating inconsistent proplem for the whole time. It seems like most times I get into the car, turn the car on, and plug my iPod into the cable, the x920 will automatically switch to the ipod source and s
  8. the facts: Car: 2007 VW Passat Wagon head unit: 930bt iPod: latest IPod touch running ios5 Cable: Pioneer packaged CDIU51V from amazon.com other: PAC C2R-VW2 radio replacement interface, PAC SWI-PS Steering Wheel controller, Sirius radio problem: installed radio ran USB/mini jack connector. Connected to CDIU51V cable. Powered up, connected iPod touch Verified av1 input was set to iPod. Pioneer radio does not recognize or detect the ipod touch. Also tried hooking up a 160gb classic, same thing. I have rebooted the iPods, reset the pioneer to factory settings, and tried different o
  9. Ever since I purchased my XB930 my iPhone 4 (iOS5) has been having issues with the volume when streaming through Bluetooth. When I first start up the car and drive with the music streaming from my iPhone the volume is perfect and the quality is spot on. However, when I turn the car off and come back sometimes the volume is extremely low and I have to crank the volume up all the way on the head unit to get it at an audible level. When I do this the quality goes to crap and its still not even that loud compared to what its suppose to be. The only fix I have found and only sometimes works is to t
  10. I just updated my iPhone which I use religiously with my AVIC-X910BT to listen to iTunes and watch mp4 videos. Well, the new iTunes update makes it so your videos are now opened in the new VIDEOS app and can't be watched the usual way. Will Pioneer make an update so users can watch videos on the AVIC-X910BT again like before? It's time for an update anyway! Please help..
  11. I have the Z110 with the 120 upgrade and a few months ago I lost the audio from my iPod. I still have control of the iPod through the unit and video playback is fine, just no audio. I have the Pioneer brand cable and the cable is just now a year old. I have checked the connections and they seem to be intact. Also, the unit itself is a refurbished unit. any thoughts on this issue? thanks Mike
