jrcactus
Well I upgraded my Avic-N1 with the CNDV-60MP software and my parking brake bypass never worked anymore, damn 5 mph thing kicked in. Done some good ole' shopping on Ebay and found a seller with a bypass for CNDV-60MP GPS bypass. It took about 1 1/2 hours to complete and a few choice words while trying to complete but darn it work. jsdeprey
I would still like to know how he did it. The hack on here involves soldering on the circut board of the N1. Hardly something you can sell on Ebay. The person hasn't responded, so makes me think this is a Ebay seller trying to get people to go to Ebay and buy some BullSh*T. What you think? Why would someone post, I did it! then not tell anyone what he did, other than he bought it on Ebay. WTF?
wilsonc
I sent my AVIC head unit to a guy in Virgina to fix my screen, it was not working due to the flex cable breaking. He replaced the flex cable and fixed the motion lockout problem. I found him on Ebay. He has a 99.4 % positive rating from 1078 people. Aconite
more ebay spam! I too received some information from ebay ... I used that info to solve my problem, and even help out a member or two here, but at no time did I ever post "I got this from some guy at ebay with a 99.9% rating" and provide his link. Tozzi
I know this thread is kind of old but I just sent out my unit to that guy on ebay, he apparently upgrades the N1-N3 and fixes the lockout plus gives you the east/west cds for 275-300 total. I'll let you guys know how it worked out if anyones interested.
free_refil
I know this guy personally... He lives in my area and I had my N2 upgraded to N3 via him. He's a knowledgeable guy and his service is remarkable.
Tozzi
I just got my unit back today, I had him upgrade it from N1-N3 and also fix my buttons on my detachable face that werent working. Everything came out perfect. I was afraid at first to send it to some random person through ebay for thoughts of obviously having my unit stolen (plus my money) or worked on by someone who isnt a "professional". As free_refil said his service is great and he also gives you a 1yr warranty on the work he performs. If you need your avic fixed or upgraded, this is the person to do it, he DEFINITLY is NOT going to steal your unit or mess it up. A+
