grcplaya
I was wondering what everyones thought is on buying this unit on ebay? is worth saving the 500-800 dollars or should I just buy it from a retail auhtorize shop, I have won a auction on this unit but for some reason the seller has refunded my money cuz paypal will not release funds to him until I have recieved my unit. I have been in contact with the seller and he said that he will go thru bidpay does this seem like a scam or what? grcplaya
cntrylvr79
Sounds fishy to me. Seller doesn't get money till buyer gets unit makes sense. Why would he care when he gets the money if he really was going to send you the z1. I say take the money and either find someone else or go retail.
Cosmic Gecko
Yes, this sounds like a scam. Bidpay is essentially Western Union, and is a scammer's haven. The seller can easily receive the cash and just run, and you'll have no recourse. I'll bet dimes to dollars the auction was listed with Paypal only to draw you into the sale. Would you o the AVIC Z1 community a favor and post the auction id and/or seller id so others might avoid that seller in the future? Thanks!

jhoglesr
Buyer beware. No feedback from buyers, only from people she made purchases from. Will not deal thru paypal. Too scary.
DJ Machismo
Get away from it as soon as you can. You sent the money through paypal and they didn't send the unit. I would consider that a breach of contract (don't know if Paypal/Ebay will do the same), but definitely report this. It could be a case of a novice seller. Though why would they choose to sell something like this on their first outing. On another note, there are multiple sellers using the "email me for buy it now price" or something similar. Stay away from these as well, they offer a price of anywhere from $300-$900 for the unit. Just not worth the risk. -Litos
bikemedic
Run, Run very fast. I would not buy one on e-bay. I got mine from Tundra electronics, thier price was great and shipping was the same day. Unlike some other retailers they won't tell you they got it and take your $$ and then tell you some story that it has to come from the warehouse (6th ave). hummers5
Check out #120018988792. Never had this happen before. I know I am currently signed in on ebay, but when I click on this auction listing in a search for AVIC-Z1, the ebay ad will not come up, but instead an ebay sign in page pops up almost immediately after seeing the real auction page for a split second. So I am wondering if the seller has imbedded a way to get our brousers to go to another page from his ebay listing??? I should not have to sign in on ebay twice at the same time. I think it may be a way this person is trying to get my sign-in name and password for him to use at will!!! If anybody else knows, please let us know!! Thanks
