Ranger
Err, sorry about the size of the photo, forgot my camera was set to max (4 mp).
Julius
It looks like they spliced into the yellow wire but I can only see so much looking at a pic.You know if I were you I would just take it back to BB and tell them your Speed sense wire isn't hooked up properly. If YOU short out your PCM then you have big problems.Let them do it then they'll be liable. Ranger
Probably should, I did pay 155 bucks to get it installed, and it has a lifetime worksmanship warranty.
Julius
If it was a cut and dry tap and you knew everything is wired right then you could do it but I'm not sure if they cut the wire in the back of the unit and ran another color wire and you think its the speed sense wire when it could be a power wire.Let them do it that way you're safe. Ranger
Yeah, just gonna have to find some time to put it in for a bit. The place is right around from where I live so I could probably get a ride back...I installed an XM tuner after they did the work but I didn't touch any of their connections, just plugged in the IP-BUS data cable and tapped the cig lighter's 12v power. Julius
It shouldn't take them no more than 5 mins if they ran the wires right.
bmatlock00
sounds like the wire going through the firewall to the distribution box is the dimmer wire, i could not find anywhere to tap inside the truck in my 2006 silverado, all the wires at the headlight switch are backwards, 12v constant when lights are off, and 0v when the lights are on, so i tapped into the tail light fuse under the hood.
