crd
I found this picture on ebay, it looks to be a europe model, does the Z3 haves this kind of map VIEW or screen shot? Because my Z2 with the Z3 upgrade haves NOTHING similar.

AlieneEvil
Newbie here. Actually according to Pioneer website, the Z3 does have 3D images for certain POIs and for a select few metropolitan areas/cities.

bigman411
so why does the US version suck and europe/japan ones are better and better technology?
Hyperite
so why does the US version suck and europe/japan ones are better and better technology? Says who? I highly doubt that's a live shot of any product.
skicrave
Most navs in Japan have that level of detail for major cities. It's a function of the quality of cartography that's available from the map vendors. Here in the US Navteq and Tele-Atlas just don't provide that much detail.
whtcrxghst
Japanese navigation does look like that. But remember that all of japan combined is smaller than California, and they aren't building much anymore because its already full so there is almost no need to keep updating the roads, so they do the buildings instead. To do that level of detail in north america would take 100s of gigs of information, if not a terabyte, plus years for teleatlas to actually record and render the buildings
tcm004
is there a z3 model for japan with xm navtrafic? nav above.
AlieneEvil
I wish the Pioneer Z1/Z2/Z3 navigation screen could look like this one: http://www.engadget.com/tag/sanyo
nikagl
It must be fake. I've had an HD1BT (= Z1), upgraded it to HD2BT (= Z2), which then got stolen, then got back an HD2BT (which got stolen again eventually) and none of these looked like this. Also the one posted on the Dutch website for the HD3BT (= Z3) looks exactly like the Z2/Z1 pictures: http://www.pioneer.nl/images/products/c ... _large.jpg I love the Sanyo look btw - too bad Sanyo here in Holland does not supply nav-systems (as far as I could find)... Getting myself either the Kenwood NV-D89GA (7" 1DIN slide out, incl. code + detachable front), or the JVC KW-NX7000 (7" 2DIN with detachable front!!)...no more Pioneer till they protect (code/detachable) their nav-systems... Regards, Nika.
vaernes
I also think It´s a fake. Not because of the detail, but because of the info in the bottom. It just doesn´t look like something a Pioneer Avic would look like. I wish it was true though! It looks great:)
