Installing into a 06 Charger.

Alrighty, i have another question. Im gonna order my D3 tomorow, but i need to know what else im gonna need. most imporantly what i need to make it look flush in my dash. i drive an 06 charger, and my radio has two little halfmoon outcropings where the voluming and tuning nobs are. what kind of kit am i going to need to make the D3 look smooth?

Only the Chargers equipped with the factory nav system will have an opening tall enough for a double DIN unit... If you look at the mounting kit for that opening,

you'll see that with the single DIN opening, there's only enough room left for a short pocket underneath. I think you would either have to find a trim panel from a charger that has the taller opening for the nav unit or you'll have to go with a custom trim panel...

Like I said, you can pop out that silver trim panel and replace it with the one made for the Charger with factory nav and you will be able to use that second mounting kit and not have to do any custom work. I'm sure it's a less expensive (and easier) route depending on how much you can find that trim panel for.
