unrequited
So I'm trying to hack the update to change icons... looks like it'll be cake since they've unprotected at least this first update package... look what I found! \LPUE080\APL2\iGo\data.zip\ui_pioneer\800_480\loading.bmp Here's the image: I swear I didn't edit or make this up... check yourself Man I wish they kept this as the "loading" image. 0_o

i9im
Finally we know why Pioneer thought a 2-minute boot up was okay.
skicrave
Wow, that's incredibly professional. Pioneer continues to impress me with their next amateur move.
HiFiSi
Probably some juvenile software developer threw that in there right before it was going out to get a laugh. I don't see how it would have gone though testing and analysis and everything with that in there. The image size is 320x240, so it was obviously not purposely put there in the 800x480 folder by pioneer for use.
Fox
That is so freaking funny.. I just went looking for the image and found it as well. I love it.

HiFiSi
It's a pic of a girl's butt in a thong. For some reason the pic's not loading any more. Maybe Pioneer found out we're on to them and they're covering it up lol.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
oreally thats all it is? lol i thought itd be alot more crude than that. still messed up that such a big company has the maturity of a toddler to throw that in the update.
HiFiSi
Well like I said, it was most likely one person or a small group of people that did that, not Pioneer itself. Probably snuck it in there after all the testing/reviewing was complete so there wouldn't be any chance of anyone finding it before release. There's no way pioneer would purposely put a completely irrelevant picture of a girl's ass in their firmware update or even allow it if they found out about it. skicrave
Right, but the fact that it made it through (and that it was even placed there by the dev team) speaks volumes about the quality of personal on this program. And explains plenty about all of the flaws in the F-Series.
lemonhead
It's not totally irrelevant, half the systems function like ass, so...

I work as a kitchen designer for a company called NDA Kitchen Co.. if i had a flaw in my design that affected it in the household, NDA would look bad, not me. i doubt itd happen but there can actually be a lawsuit because of that. and even though it was one person that did it, its pioneer that will lose, not just that one employee.
