sicqx4
I just had the F700bt installed. I plugged in the Itouch and my albums and artcovers showed up on the F700bt. However, I cant hear anything...when it plays. It shows that the song is playing...however there is no sound. CD, radio and Nav work fine.. Can anyone help with this? or have any ideas? skicrave
You need to go to Settings -> A/V Settings and change AV1 to iPod (it's currently off). Just so you know, DO NOT upgrade your Touch (not iTouch, just Touch) to the 2.0 Firmware. If you do, it will no longer work with the F-Series.
sicqx4
I tried your suggestion - changed IPOD to AV1.... its still doing the same thing. Your right, it was turned off before, but now that AV1 is turned on, its still not giving out any sound....its playing...but no sound. I am using the cable that came with the iTouch... will the F700bt not work with iTouch if Im using the Aplle cable that came with the iTouch? Pls help!
superjet
You need to be using the Pioneer ipod cable.
skicrave
The USB cable only passes data, you need to use the Pioneer cable or the Apple A/V kit that includes composite connections for audio and video.
sicqx4
with the cables from Pioneer. Will iTouch be able to pass video on the F700bt. I've read many posts that the F700 does not allow video.
skicrave
Don't know, I don't have a Touch, I have an iPhone. But the two are similar, so I would think a TTouch would work the same way, and I get video from my iPhone.
djphat2000
anyone know of any update that will fix the iPod Touch 2.0 Firmware issue? I already had the update done on my iPod and don't want to back it down just to get it to work with the F700. I need the apps But, I do want it to work correctly with the radio. Strange that it doesn't even let me charge the iPod or anything. I think I can get sound to come out via the AV input but, that's it. No video with sound.
HiFiSi
The only way to make it work correctly with the radio is to roll back the firmware.
djphat2000
Yeah, but either one of them will issue an update to get to work again. At some point.
HiFiSi
I wouldn't be too sure of that. When the Ipod classic stopped working with the D3, neither Pioneer or Apple did anything about it, and as of now it still doesn't work.
djphat2000
Are you serious? That's crazy. How can they say they are iPod compatible and not be iPod compatible? Making a phone call.
HiFiSi
They WERE ipod compatible, when they were made/released. Look at the parts highlighted in red:
sicqx4
how about an iTouch / Ipod hack??? If the device is hacked can we make it work? http://hacktheiphoneitouch.blogspot.com ... -macs.html
HiFiSi
If you're going to go through the trouble to hack the thing... you might as well just roll back the firmware.
