OK I'm a computer noob lol what are DLL files and what does that mean as to retrieving those icon files?

DLLs are dynamic link library files. I remember this from messing with icons way back in the Windows 3.1 days. I believe they are still used today and if in fact Pioneer has put its interface icons in DLLs then a DLL icon editor will be needed. Just google DLL icon editor and I'm sure you'll find lots of freebies.

Enough with the suspense already -- please, tell us where you found the rest of the images! :)

lol sorry without further adieu...

install 7zip on your pc

look in LPUE080\APL for the file called Image.Res

extract all the files from that so you have a \Image\ folder

and inside will be all the image files and change which ever you please then you need to 7zip the whole folder and rename it to image.res

copy it over to your sd card

get into testmode and copy the new image.res to the flash disk\APL\ folder

and reboot it should be done

someone else try it and post some good images as i dont have a decent camera :(

What the hell!?!? I just went to go into testmode to get a 2nd copy of the flash disk (for some reason the one I had only showed like half the files) and i get this:

errorscreen.jpg

error.jpg

It did this to me earlier but I extracted the testmode files and put them back in prior, so I figured maybe I had them in the wrong order, but then I downloaded my own testmode.zip that I posted here: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17542

and I still get that message... same FAT32 Sd card I've been using and all i have in there is the testmode folder:

contents.jpg

so what the hell happened!?
