BorisM
I try to turn the knob down and the unit brings the volume back up to max (62) right away. any ideas? Do you have steering wheel controls hooked up?
HiFiSi
I was thinking the exact same thing. Something else is sending a VOLUME UP signal to the unit constantly, either remotely (steering wheel controls) or internally (a faulty volume knob) But I think if the volume knob was faulty and giving it a constant volume up command it wouldn't turn down the volume when you turn the knob to the left, maybe. CatchMeIfYouCan631
simply disconnect it from the unit and see if the problem still occurs. Then you'll know where the problem is.
