weaponofchoice
MIO released a Knight Rider themed GPS where William Daniels (the voice of KITT) recorded all the voices for it. Could we not just rip all those files off that unit somehow and adapt them?
infochia
kitt and all the other voices have been avail for tomtom for over 2 years. i'm confused, did you alter them so we CAN use them in igo?
MikeTheApeman
Okay, I found this thread while searching for voices for my TomTom, since the girlfriend who now uses it doesn't like Ozzy telling her where to go. Ironic, considering i was also hating on my F700 voices. I know for TomTom there is a tutorial out there that says what each of the files actually says (i.e. right.ogg = "Right" spoken). If there was something like that for the TTS voices, I might be of some use here. I do some minor audio editing and recording, could get files made up or recorded. If anyone wanted a Cylon voice from the original BSG, I have codecs to record anything in that voice (as proven through my bi-weekly skit 'Apeman and The Cylon' on ptrradio.com). I'm not much help from a programming perspective, but can help with putting the needed files together if I had a list of what's needed.
