jmoe316
I hope there's some major improvements with V2.0. I don't think it would be as simple as copying back over the data.zip after the update because there may be some new stuff in the data.zip that is needed. Is it pretty much a given that all mods will have to be redone after V2.0?
Vorian
Only one way to find out!
paradroid
most mods are cosmetic , just BU the modded files and put them back after the upgrade
lava10t2
That is if testmode isn't locked out...
BorisM
Update includes a new DATA.ZIP, which at least appears to be cleaned up, compared to what they released originally -- UI files are not replicated outside of UI subfolders. Of course this time morons added thumbs.db to the archive, but еоршы will be easy to fix.
Vorian
Can anyone test to see if you can make changes to the DATA.ZIP in the new update BEFORE doing the actual update? I'm curious to see if their update does a checksum to verify the DATA.ZIP.
flyboyindy
And the answer is YES! You can still boot up your unit in Test Mode with the 2.0 upgrade! Just finished updating, replaced my image.res, data.zip, and map color files, and everything works GREAT! Just thought you all would like to know!
lemonhead
I upgraded, went back into testmode and replaced the new unmodded data.zip with my modded one. Worked fine.
rv7flyer
I replaced my modded data file after the update and now I get "system starting up" screen all the time. Had to put the 2.0 data.zip back in. Bummer. I would like to go back to all my modded files over a faster avic.
