douyon
Does the Avic Z1 have a graphical EQ, like other head units? such as level meters moving, or other realtime graphics.
sportsfan21
Not 100% sure, but I don't think so.
wkderf
the Z1 does not have any type of graphical display like that whatsoever. look into the avh-p6800dvd if you are looking for a double DIN unit with awesome visual graphics & displays.
douyon
How does the avh-p6800dvd compare to the Z1?
GnatGoSplat
No navi on the AVH-P6800DVD. It has an input for an AVIC add-on unit (9DVD,90DVD,80DVD,88DVD). I wish there was a single disc version for under $1000MSRP to compete with the Alpine IVA-W200 and Kenwood DDX6019. Maybe next year.
marin8703
i beleive the z1 does have some type of equlizer. Ill check in a little bit an post. im sure its under the a/v settings.
silveradojeff
the z1 definatly has an eq. I have mine tweeked perfectly. What a huge difference in the sound it has made. I had a 100% stock system, all i did was the z1, HUGE difference. while you are in an audoi mode push the av settings button i think it is, then on top there are two tabs one for audio and for system i think. All the audio options are off course in audio.
GnatGoSplat
It sounded to me like he was more interested in a spectrum analyzer or some other animated visualization rather than the EQ itself.
silveradojeff
ooohhh.... thats different
GnatGoSplat
I found a pic on eBay of an AVH-P6800DVD showing the spectrum analyzer mode: If the pic didn't work, you can see the auction here. (not my auction) The 6800 is pretty cool, I love the eye candy. Anyone have pics of its other visualization screens?

GnatGoSplat
Man, that's nice. I have no use for the DVD changer, but I want those visuals! Not really worth spending $300 more than my AVIC-D1 cost to get pretty visuals right now though. :( Maybe next year's AVICs will have visuals, or maybe they'll come out with a single disc version of the 6800.
