humblehyper
VSS wire location on 2000 Honda Accord LX 4dr 4 cyl sedan. Anyone knows where it is? I'm going to try and install an Avic F90BT myself, I pretty much know how to connect the wires except for the VSS, since I'm bypassing the mute wire, I don't need to connect the parking brake wire right? Thanks much guys!
lsdlls07
I had a honda Accord and the manual was helpful or check some of the online honda forums.
Bunk454
You need to ground the parking brake wire AND move/ground the mute wire if you are doing the bypass. If not, connect them as intended. As for the VSS wire, this is all I could find: http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/cruisedetail/1040.html Hope that helps.
jrdiesel
Blue/White 31 pin connector on ECM. Should be under/behind center console accessible at the passenger side. Hope this helps.
humblehyper
Thanks all so much for your help. One more question, if I'm doing the bypass mute wire thing do I still need to hookup the parking brake wire? Or not anymore? Thanks again.
madsonp
When doing the by-pass you ground the brake wire and relocate the mute wire and ground it also as was mentioned previously. See the following: http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic. ... ght=bypass

jrdiesel
In most cases it is a silver box. Sometimes it may also say ECM or Electronics Control Module on it somewhere. Beware of any airbag harness or mudule. They should be well labeled, and will typically have bright yellow wire loom, or harnesses.
