baudio
has anyone used the the blackberry storm with the new 2.0 updates on the f900bt
ahaase
yep - mine works. i have the f900bt. i haven't sent over my contacts to the HU yet, but it pairs just fine. one thing i noticed though, is that if i initiate a call from my phone, the end call and volume controls don't show up on the screen. so to end a call, i have to use my phone, unless the other person hangs up first. but if i get an incoming call, they show up. i'll try to get my contacts sent over today, and post the results. Newman
this happens to me every now and then as well (i dont have the Storm). it is one if the many bugs within the bluetooth system. FYI, you can also end a call by pressing IN on the rotary commander while a call is in progress. (the same way you would activate voice commands)
ckelly33
I have a storm. Contacts transfer fine, voice dialing works fine (after doing the phone book "fix").

paQ
What type of storm are you using? I hooked up my storm 9500 this morning. Connection worked great, transfer of phonebook very rapid. However, the sound is utterly bad! The sound coming from my speakers is very very overmodulated, and even with all soundlevels set low, it is very very bad. I only have this with the storm. Any similar complaints?
paQ
*bump* I see the storm is using BT version 1. I run on a 4.0.87 firmware. Could other storm users perhaps check their FWs?
Raydee
I just installed my 900BT in my car today and I paired my BB Storm using firmware .109 and the mic volume is so low people can barely hear me. I am a bit frustrated right now since the built in blue tooth is one of the major reasons I went with the 900bt.
paQ
It seems this is a FW issue in the blackberry than. Specs claim it is BT 2.0 however the software version refers to 1.1 Also I'm wondering if no-problem-users just don't know the sound is hideous. I've hooked up 7 GSM phones so far, nothing sounds as bad (heavily over-modulated) as the storm (9500).
Raydee
I know my problem is a bit different than yours, my incoming sound is fine but people can barely hear me when on the outgoing side. I firmly beleive this isn't a Storm problem since I paired three other phones and still have the same problem. I wonder if this is a BT firmware problem? What version BT firmware do you have loaded in your head unit?
paQ
OK. Your problems lays in the mic sensitivity. Loads of users cope with this. As did I. Eventually I changed the mic to the old Nokia MFH-8 (?) And all is well. As for my storm problem: The specs of the storm state: BT version 2.0 The firmware in my storm (4.0.78) states Bluetooth software 1.1 The avic has the latest update (3)

I have a new nav coming in on Friday but I would also like to try a mic just to see if that helps. I found this one locally that I may try this weekend IF the plug is 2.5mm http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2466269

It looks just like the Motorola mics that come with their bluetooth systems, they are pretty good and nice and loud.
lludacrisboy
i have 9530 storm running .113 software and it syncs perfect with the F90 and sounds great. my only problem is it doesn't always give me the hang up button like mentioned before.
