alexiske
the content subfolder conatins the maps etc, but these should NOT be nesessary for the unit to work(obviously without maps) this way we probably might get the unit to work and then find another way to get the maps. i have the maps from another unit which probably i can try to share

nbdew002
UPDATE: Turns out after i tried uploading the file. (keep in mind: each time took 6+ hours) it kept saying it uploaded but it would never show up. sent several emails to n681ma what problems i was having only for him to call them and they admitted that although it says upload up to 5gb you can only do 1gb per file. iGo zip is 1.54gb. :/ I have been trying numerous times and so many differnt ways but we just cant find one that works. gouda272
does anyone know what the TTS portion of this reload means? I believe it is the last step in the list. Is it just the language questions you get asked upon reboot ?
infochia
If your unit reboots continously, or reboots every few minutes, or you can't access the navi settings menu, here is an easy solution: Boot into test mode Navigate to the 'My Flash Disk/USER/UserData/iGo/save' folder Delete all files in the 'save' folder (there will prob be 4 files and 1 folder) Navigate to the 'My Flash Disk/USER/UserData/SETUP' folder Delete all files in the 'SETUP' folder (there will prob be 5 files) Exit test mode and reboot normally Problem solved! (you will need to re-enter your settings) Please post here and let me know if this solves your problem, - I'm 99.99999% sure this will do the trick. happy holidays! infochia

alien2000a
Dear infochia, I'm one of the few users who suffered from not being able to access the system settings/language menu Then after a factory preset I can now go into language menu and select language with no problems but when I try the voice option system freezes. I'm thinking of doing your delete all settings trick but when I check the igo/save folder there are about 25 files and 2 folders there unlike you mentioned. Did you mean the ones with .sav extension or am I missing anything here? Many thanks.
sy628109
Couple of questions: Wont reverting back to the original iGo after the update cause the same problems? My ezrider.exe file seems to be corrupt, will that cause issues going back to the same iGO folder? I am asking because right now I have access to testmode and dont want to do something where I cant get back into it and really be screwed.

N-S-E-W
+1, I just whacked my f500bt, I need a copy of the igo folder. Can anyone help??? You can find the back up files on the FTP site a forum member put up for us: http://66.59.250.9:8000 log in = avic (no password, leave blank) BTW - I saw your set up on the G8board. Looks nice. How hard is it to unhook when you need to hide it?
