boris1
I have an f90bt premier hooked up in my car. It came with the required cable. The guys who did the work on my car hooked up the USB cable from my ipod. I see the information on my screen but get no audio or video, it just shows me that the song is supposed to be playing. Only the USB cable, not the type of cable that is shown in the question for the buy with the f900. Do I have to have the cable from the IPOD with the usb and the 3 rca cables in order to get video and audio?
madsonp
It is necessary to set [AV1 Input] in [AV Settings] to [iPod] when connecting the iPod.
boris1
The setting is already at IPOD in av1. Do I still need the cable that has the usb and 3 rca cables?
madsonp
Yes, and you need both connected
terron
Yes, and you need both connected And by both, he means the single cable with 1 USB connector and 3 RCA connectors, all of which must be plugged into their matching partners on the Avic itself
citruss
Was having the same problem. Found this post, changed the AV1 setting to Ipod instead of none and it worked. Thanks
Gutta624
Also make sure you have the USB connector plugged in and of course the IPod connector into the IPod. I thought I could just have the Ipod connector in without the USB and it would work because I thought the USB was just for charging but you definitely need both. ckelly33
I had the EXACT same problem. Turns out the guy never connected the RCA's on the other end of the iPod cable. The iPod was connected and showed everything on the AVIC but no sound. Connecting it fixed it
diaftia
As usual, searching pays off again. AV1 to iPod. Thanks!
