sna77
Anyone heard of any plans etc to upgrade the Sirus display on the N3? Its horrific "Preset 1, 2, 3" for display. How could Pioneer have been so lazy with it, and made the XM interface so much nicer???
sportsfan21
Money. XM cut a deal with Pioneer so that XM's interface is much better. The logic behind XM paying Pioneer to do that is if people on these forumns hear that the XM interface is really good, and the Sirius is really bad, that people will subscribe to XM instead of Sirius. sna77
that stinks... anyone have any hacks for this yet?
jimmy303
No, the Sirius interface isn't even made by Pioneer, so the GUI will be minimal at best.

I have Sirius as well and agree the interface and features suck but there's nothing we can do. I've thought about going back to XM but the cancelled they cancelled the station I usually listen to so I'm stuck with this horrible interface. Thankfully I can look at the navigation screen instead. glepp
actually that was another question i had with my dads avh5500 i think it is something like that you could watch a dvd and have xm work is it possible to multitask with the n3 i think it might have had something to do with my brother installing a backup camara to it allowing it to be tricked but im not sure anyone have any ideas? or am i just barking up a tree? jamierph
Does anyone know an easy way to find a channel with the Sirius? Specifically if a GAME ALERT comes on, I have been going channel by channel to find it. I was used to the Sportster where I just had to push a button. I love my radio but I am really disappointed with the Sirius on it.
jimmy303
I believe that you can access the channel by using the 10-key direct function. You access that by pressing the next-> button.
glepp
also i think the game alert thing can be used by going to the adv screen and hitting functions 3 and 4 somthing along those lines it should be in the manual.
