I was planning on something like this, navigation and stuff in the front... and have headrest DVD players for the kids in the back. only thing is that I dont have kids (medical mumbo bumbo), so DVD player in the front for me. lphomiej Posted March 18, 2009 Report Share Posted March 18, 2009 lol it's pretty clear that the ONLY differences between the 900 and 700 is the dvd player and msn direct... If you want to play dvds, you can always rip them to iPod format and play them from your iPod using the iPod connector. You can purchase the DVD mechanism for the F900 unit and replace the CD unit in your F700. Its only a few screws and a ribbon cable. Only problem is that the F900 DVD mechanism is $265 from the Pioneer parts store. If you want to search for the part somewhere else, the part number is: CXK6631 (Note: The same DVD mechanism is used in the Pioneer P4000DVD head unit, so you may be able to pick one of them up used on Ebay for cheap and swap out the mechanism) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
