newtopioneer
Has any tired the PIE ipod interface? http://www.pie.net/store/index.cfm?acti ... ItemID=620 Also, is there a fix for the slow slooow response to the Pioneer IPOD interface?
GnatGoSplat
It's nothing more than an aux input cable with a dock connector on the end that can charge your iPod. It has no electronics in it so the HU could not control the iPod and you also can't display any titles. Slow response time can't be fixed, it requires a new HU with high speed interface (i.e. AVIC-D3). Sorry.
scapekey
I've used similar adaptors with my last Pioneer HU. My assumption is that the Z1 will recognize this interface as an AUX input and not an iPod. That means that you'll be navigating your iPod from the iPod itself (which isn't such a bad thing considering the less than perfect embedded interface). An improved iPod interface on the Z1 is the only real improvement I could wish for personally. I'm not aware of any plans to improve upon it though.
whtcrxghst
The D3 will have a full speed cable that also transfers video. Hopefully when they redesign the Z series, they will include that feature An improved iPod interface on the Z1 is the only real improvement I could wish for personally. I'm not aware of any plans to improve upon it though.
