6605stang
Ok peoples. Locked and reloaded. Got 15 more today. Left 2 behind for anyone that was looking. And that, as far as I know is IT. On that note, if it's not too big of a deal, I'd like to bump my price on them by just a few bucks. Say $140 even? $4 more each? This just kind of turned into a bit of a undertaking and I thought it would be reasonable to ask for a few dollars each for my time/gas, etc. If that's not cool, let me know. Not doing it for big profit or anything, just a couple bucks for my troubles and making avaiable something that appears to be gone most everywhere. Anyway, to reiterate... if you need one, please post first so I can see your post count (there have been a lot of Googlers asking about them). Then email me, or just send $140 over to justin.retzlaff@gmail.com. Then I'll email you a photo or scanned image of the a scratched off card. Once you activate and tell me that it worked, I'll destroy the card. Done deal. Alright then, tally is back up to 15 and counting. Cheers, JR
6605stang
Judging by the outside-of-AVIC411 responses (and curses) I'm getting, I should clarify something... I'm doing this as a favor at the near-cost price for ACTIVE AVIC411 Members. If you PM me and you have 1 post, expect to pay more than cost, IF I decide to sell you one at all. I have 30 days to save these and slowly dole them out to any ACTIVE AVIC411 members that may want one. After about 3 weeks if I have any left, I'll be taking the rest back to Best Buy where I'm sure they will not go back on the shelf. If during that time I decide to sell more to the public, I will, however it will not be at the near cost price ACTIVE AVIC411 members enjoy. If you are not an active member, you can ask for one at the cost I see fit for a non-member, or you can run the risk of not getting one at all. Sorry you had to see this 411ers, but If I sell these at cost to the whole world they'd be gone by now, so I'm charging extra for public inquiries. If you are on 411 and your post count looks like you've been around awhile, just let me know and I'll be happy to get you going for very near cost (Card + Paypal fees + a tiny bit for gas and my time). I should have known this would happen...
scooterinmn
Stang, I would be interested in taking one off your hands if you still have some available. Thanks!
tmac505
Hey JR definitely interested. I have some questions so I'll be sending an email later this morning. Its because of people like you in this forum that I am so happy I went with the Pioneer unit rather than the Kenwood. The willingness of members to help each other is just terrific. Thanks
scooterinmn
JR, For those of us who have sent payment, how are you handling this : https://www.msndirect.com/MSNDirectServiceAnnouncement.aspx? I just seen the post today.
6605stang
For more information on the recent truncated "lifetime" subscription of MSN Direct and cards you may have purchased from myself, please see here; http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=28423&p=195737#p195737

6605stang
Update: 11 cards left and I do NOT have access to any more.
Self
No more msn as of 2012 http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/28/micr ... n-in-2012/
6605stang
No more msn as of 2012http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/28/micr ... n-in-2012/ Thats been pretty well established so far... However with the refund they are offering you can get the last 2+ years of service for FREE. There has been a "couple" posts about this.
mnawalters
I will start by saying I purchased a lifetime msn plan from microsoft earlier this year for $99. I called MSN when I found out they are cancelling and they are giving a prorated discount to anyone who calls in to question and keeping your service active until the Jan 1, 2012 date. I got $89.83 back (not bad considering I signed up 8-9 months ago). So if you get the new card from stang - or if you had one-time payment msn prior, make sure to call them and get your rebate portion back...while continuing to get service. Pretty nice deal - at least until Jan 1, 2012! MSN number to call: 1-866-658-7032
lefty1102
When I called, they would not rebate my $$ unless I cancelled. Looks like I am a lifetime subscriber until 1/1/12 and then I will get about $2 back when they get around to sending me a check. Update: Called back. Have used the service for about 9 months. They refunded me (or will refund) 116.08 out of 129.00 and she said I will continue to receive the service for free. The faster you call, the more you will be refunded. Thanks as always to the posters who help each other out.

Looks like I am a lifetime subscriber until 1/1/12 and then I will get about $2 back when they get around to sending me a check. I got the same thing when I called, no refund on the lifetime unless They totally shut down my service, but once the subscription ran out in 2012, they will send me a pro-rated check for the difference. VBLUE42
You guys are confusing the words subscription and service. Yes you do have to cancel your subscription but you will continue to get the service. They will refund you and still give you the service for free until 01-2012. . Call them back. I was told that I had to cancel my service to get a full refund on my lifetime card or wait until 2012 and get a pro-rated refund on balance owed (which they could not tell me what that would be). I was not offered a continued service with a canceled subscription.
