Duner2
I have tried moving the stock microphone all over the car and the out going sound quality is terrible. The Z110 is in a Mercedes C class, I also have a F90bt in a Chevy Diesel Pickup and it sounds much better. Is there a better microphone available out there? I have read that part number CD-VM1 is a better choice than the stock CPM 1083. Has anyone tried the CD-VM1 or have any better choices?
xmasbags
I have the same problem in my charger, I can hear the people fine - they can't hear me. But reading that most people don't have this problem. Let me know if you solve this and what other mic you try.
fe342185
I have my mic located above my rear view mirror. I put electrical tape around the outside to cover the holes on the side and people have not complained since although I have not asked if the quality is ok. My idea was to keep the echo less and focus the sound picked up from the front holes.
Duner2
I talked to Pioneer and they think it may be a bad mic but they are not sure. Before I tear the dash apart again I was hoping someone made a better noise canceling mic that I could just switch it too. But I will give the tape idea a try and see if it helps. VBLUE42
I dont think any mic will suffice if you have that much road and engine noise.
DrRob
I am also getting a lot of complaints of background road noise. Even after having all of my doors insulated with dynamat.
LagunaAvic
I recently switched from an X910BT to a Z110BT and the sound quality as picked up by the Z110BT is definitely worse than the X910BT.
MLTTASK
I have an '05 GTO with LoudMouth pipes. When I'm accelerating, people on the phone often ask me "What's all that noise?", but at cruise my voice seems to come through clear enough. People say they can tell I'm on hands-free, but that it sounds fine.
paulygs69
I have the same problem. My new 110 seemed to work OK when I first installed it. Now it's too the point no one can hear me. I have to scream to be heard on their end. This is the 4th Nav unit I've had in my truck in the last two years, JVC, Kenwood, and a F900. I work from my truck and bluetooth is a must along with Nav. I wish someone could make a product that works. I might have to switch back to my Kenwood. It's a shame, I like so much about the 110, but it missed on a few major pionts. I also sell and install these products. Hard to sell when my customers can't hear me on the phone. I bought this unit from Pioneer for $400 as a promo deal. Seems to be only be worth that. Frustrating!! Â Feel your pain.
VBLUE42
Try repairing your phone with the BT volume turned up higher. That was a workaround we found worked back in the D3 days.
paulygs69
I'll try it. Still not sure why it seemed to work fine at first and gradually got worse. Â Any reason why the station presets don't show? Â Â Â Â I'm a Mac too. Unless I need to do a software update, then I need to use my PC (Piece of Crap)
VBLUE42
What station presets?
paulygs69
After setting all my presets, when you press the preset button (on screen) you get a list of 1 thru 6 of your presets. I guess the idea is that you can pull up the list of your presets and select the one you want. The screen shows 6 blank bars. I you press the bar, it will go to that preset but it doesn't show what the presets are. I can remember what most of them are for FM but my Sirius has so many presets it would be nice to save them and browse thru them. Follow?
VBLUE42
I know this is an issue that people have reported about the HD radio but this is the first I have seen as a problem with the FM source. I don't know though. I don't use presets at all or the FM source.
