I've been looking at this unit for a couple weeks now, especially since I've seen it online anywhere from $950 to $1799 via authorized and unauthorized dealers, as well as in the local stores. Best Buy and a audio specialty shop were advertising the price as being either $1599 or $1799. I also saw that the Pioneer website had it listed for $1799. I also got more interested in it once I saw that there was a $200 mail in rebate.Good stuff!!!! considering these 2 places are authorized dealers (though BB only has it online). The price changed to $1200 on the Pioneer website this week!!! Then you get the $200 rebate making it $1000 I'm pretty sure it's temporary, guessing because of the holiday. Crutchfield is including all the normal parts and cables, and they just added a rearview camera to the package, totalling, for me anyway, around $1465 before the rebate Seems like many people are confused about the rebate. Here is my take on it, right from the rebate form...It seems that most local stores that have this unit are authorized dealers, however there is only a handful out of the possible hundreds of online dealers that are authorized. Understanding that, it seems the rebate is for both online and local authorized dealers... This is line #1 on the rebate page... 1. Purchase a brand new Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT from an Authorized Pioneer or Pioneer Premier Dealer between October 16, 2009, and December 31, 2009. That note above tells me it doesn't matter whether it's online or local. Here is the last note on the rebate page... This mail-in Rebate is valid for Internet purchases only from an Authorized Pioneer Internet Dealer. For a complete list of Authorized Pioneer Internet Dealers, please view the Authorized Pioneer Internet Dealer list. It includes the wiring and camera, etc. Does anybody else actually look at the list of authorized dealers other than me? LOL, I can't figure out why people don't know if they are authorized or not. But you to pay for installation @ $275.00 whether u install it or not. He said thats the only you can get for 50%, is you have to pay 275.00 for install. I think he was BSing me. Could be just my area (so cal). i just read more about that sale too Says the install is required and therefore the 50% off is not available onine. All of their stores are in the Los Angeles area I believe. That blows., however, it's still less than $1000 if they agree to sell it online with the install, and ship it.
