shorty
Instructions for the bypass use only the RCA Connector Harness (white harness in picture). Is there a way to complete the bypass when you are solely using the alternative black harness? I have the unit connected and functioning well otherwise but not sure if i complete the bypass with this installation. I have grounded the green parking brake lead but have no option to move pin position of a mute wire or other unused option wire. Just cuts off DVD once I go past 5 or 10 mph. Any ideas? (Also lost my steering wheel interface function in the process but may be unrelated)
garrettoomey
You have to use the 2nd harness for the bypass.
Ferendon
You can add a wire, instead of trying to remove the mute wire. If it cuts off at 5 mph, then the bypass is incorrect. Also, did you install a steering wheel control interface module with the unit, or are you just assuming that they would continue to work with a new radio?
mikesmith72
Is there someone here or on eBay selling just the wire and correct connector to plug into the open slot rather than using the mute wire?
