Upgrade from v2 to v3..(EU UNITS ONLY)

Recommended Posts

Hi Steve,

Do you know if it would be possible to reverse the process should something go wrong on not work? to be honest im not very good with these things and also unlucky! im wondering if i can go back to original setup if all fails, or eventually use an original upgrade to the cnsd-200fm for instance.

Thanks

Jim

The units just like a computer really. You have your operating system, in this case Windows CE and pioneers software.

As standard the unit is set to load the pioneer software as default, you can if you wish use the testmode sd to bypass this default and go to the operating system. From here you can 'backup' the flashdrive folder. (flashdrive is just the name of the folder) This is the pioneer software.

The most important thing is upgrading the WinCE part. This is like formatting your laptop and reinstalling windows 7. Once this is done you can play around with the pioneer software. :-)

Let me know how you get on. I'm still yet to install my unit in my car... tis a very special Murcielago kitcar it's going in.... one day :-)

1. latest WinCE version from 3.0202 EU.. http://www.cdrpro.co.uk/wince.zip

2. Testmode 2.3.. http://www.cdrpro.co.uk/testmode.zip

2. Copy of 3.000303 Flash drive.. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=26625&p=182800#p182768 (I had to use the par files to correct the croupt data)

3. Upgrade 3.00202 from pioneers website.. http://www.pioneer.eu/files/support/avi ... 020200.zip

In this you mentioned you need a copy of 3.000303 flash drive aswell as upgrade version 3.00202 from pioneers website. Do i really need to get both of these or what?

yep.. the 3.000303 is what you update the unit to first as this is what's available. Then you upgrade again using pioneers FREE update for all those running version 3.

There is however a new version update which I've not managed to get hold of yet, soon as I do I will put some update instructions up. :-)
