duner
Ok, Downloaded BitLord and it is doing nothing but counting the time I have been connected and nothing is downloading. Does it take time? It has been 14 minutes with 0% downloaded. Does it have to wait for someone to connect that has it to share from? I show 0 peers connected. Please direct me on what to do. thanks

IdentityWithheld
Thank all those who worked very hard to make this happen and find new ways for us to enjoy our navis. I personally only stuck with pioneer navis because of the support from this forum, otherwise I wouldnt have converted to kenwoods long time ago because I primarily am an audiophile. Again, thanks: shortfuse vblue rgarjr and filezz for simplification. And anyone else I forgot. Your contributions will not go unnoticed. I second that!!!!!! Great work getting this to work. IdentityWithheld
I only have a 1-1gb and 2-2gb sd cards can I load sd1 files 1 and 2 on on card and sd1 files 3 and 4 on another card and sd2 file on the third card and load it? What about loading it off of a single 4gb USB flash drive hooked to the USB port from the iPod connection. The RAR files are parts of a whole; it isn't really 4 separate files. When you extract the first one with WINRAR, the program will put all the files together and produce the necessary directories. Also, you CANNOT use an SD card smaller than 4GB for the contents of CNSD-110FM-SD1. The contents of CNSD-110FM-SD2 can fit on your 1GB. And, NO, you cannot use anything else but the SD card slot. Read filezz post for directions on how to install.
Golden42
Ok can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I replaced the original files from the official pioneer update with the two files from the crack, then put the folder with the cracked files on an Sd card but when I try to update it finishes 100% then says the update failed. After this happens the system continues to restart and try the update process over and over again, failing repeatedly. Has anyone else had this problem?

Getting to 100% means the files were successfully copied from your SD card to the internal flash of the HU. There may be an issue with one or more of the files. Sounds like file corruption. I would get another copy of the update, REMOVE and replace the two files within the update (do not overwrite them), format the SD card, copy over the necessary files to the SD card, and try again. rrolff
I'll add my thanks to the great efforts done on the Z110/Z120. It is funny that large corporations are scared of the open source world. The Pioneer for me is now (v2.0) a bit more friendly - but still *woefully* lacking. A friend in the EU has the Z (F) version, and after almost a year (first with a buggy Kenwood), is moving to Sony (http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/35338/s ... tom-satnav). I only wish a company could help to push its product more into the main stream (allowing custom upgrades - to systems like Nav). Hopefully this sets off a bit of outside dev that can do for Pioneer - what they cannot do for themselves. A good, more open system has a real value...

duner
I have been working all day trying to get these stupid RAR files to open. I show the files quantity is there but I try to open it and it tells me "the archive is ether in unknown format or damaged". everything seems to be in order. I just dont know what else to do. One thing I did extract the torrent and and got the four separate RAR files from my MAC and put them on a flash drive and have been trying to open them on a windows computer. They are Host OS windows if that matters

They are Host OS windows if that matters When you get the four RAR files, open the first one with WINRAR (Windows). the four RAR files are part of a whole. They are not inividual extractions. WINRAR will know what to do with them. You should then extract two directories and a file using WINRAR. Read earlier posts for further instructions

nawty
Ok, Im confirming this is amazing and worked well. A couple of tips that I learned and didnt read far enough to realize before I chased circles. "bittorrent.com" was a great program that was free and only took 45 min with hi-speed cable modem to download the torrent for the firmware. The files come in 4 parts and unzipping the first grabbed all the info from the other parts AUTOMATICALLY! When I update my deck it read 1.0 firmware "NOT" 1.01 or anything different (not sure if this is ok) The update finished in 25 min and was spot on and now the firmware reads 2.0!!! Cheers to the posters and firmware. I love the Pandora module, and the scrolling throught the sources and tuner stations!! Thanks to AVIC411 for my new fun!..
