Unit Won't Read SD Card (X920BT)

Recommended Posts

I downloaded Pioneer's new 2.003 update today, and after several frustrating attempts, could never get my X920BT to read the SD card. It seems like my unit doesn't even recognize that a card has been inserted--when I went to "Source" to try to look at the files on the SD card, the unit did not list "SD Card" as one of the possible sources. When I hit the "Eject" button, both "Eject CD" and "Eject SD Card" were greyed out. Anyone else have problems with the unit recognizing the SD card?

My unit doesn't read my SD card either. It's formatted properly and I have the correct files. But it never shows up as an option on the left side. By the number of posts here about it, it looks like it is already a common problem. Fingers crossed that it's a software problem and not a hardware because i don't want to have to take it back out.

I had this problem initially too. After playing around for a while I resolved it by going into setup where you can select new backgrounds. I did not change my background or even have a background on my card. But once I went into that setting the SD icon showed up for me as a source.

I will check the exact menu at lunch when I go into my car. Try it and it might work for you.
