fatsnail
I really hope Pioneer can dump WinCE and use Android in the future. The protential of Android OS is almost unlimited, if I see a Android based car stereo I will trash my F90BT right away.
VBLUE42
Next years unit may appeal to you then.
taylor39560
check out the following and if true might show the direction they are headed. http://www.crunchgear.com/2011/04/26/exclusive-pioneer-appradio-sph-da01/
sirsilent
It would be time to switch to Android. I wonder why car stereos are always so behind other electronics. My Android phone can do so much more than any car stereo device. WindowsCE died years ago on mobile devices so why is it still alive in car stereos? I really hope there will be some decent Android car devices soon.
guiri
Great! Another damn iphone unit. Apple sucks and so do all companies with their proprietary stuff. I had the first iphone and man was that a pain in the a$$ with their damn itunes n' stuff. I literally had to pay a guy to hack it so I could get a decent (loud) ringtone on the phone. Never an apple product again. Now, I would love an Android unit George

CaptainInsaneO
I'm surprised they are still using WinCE for their builds, tbh. When I was working on reversing code in the early Z series units (Z1/Z2/Z3) it was extremely obvious that they had a bunch of Japanese programmers slap together the software on the framework of CE, and probably got paid a dollar for it judging by the quality of their work. If they go Android we probably will see a small price decrease and much better performance.
vinhisbored
Would be nice to see more integration geared towards androids.
myke2241
Would be nice to see more integration geared towards androids. im not a huge fan of Android and would hope Pioneer doesn't go that direction. QNX may be a better choice. What ever they do it butter be good and nothing like what is on the market! i hope they can better Audi and Googles big announcement.
