djchad72
Here are the list of apps that I have asked Pioneer to actively solicate to integrate with the AppRadio Advanced App mode: SiriusXM Internet Radio iHeartRadio AhaRadio HBO Go DirectTV Nomad Watch ESPN Netflix Hulu YouTube While I know the video nature of some of those apps can be considered a hazard for drivers... its a perk for the passengers. OR while in a parking lot waiting for someone. Any other apps that would be great? I have notice you can listen to most apps while in AppMode, but the AR2 screen remains blank. If you have your iPhone mounted next to the AR2, then that isnt a problem. But the larger touch screen does offer easier and faster navigation, as well as bigger font for reading track info. So would be great to see these offered.
JasonH
It's not up to Pioneer, it's up to the individual app developer.
yonel
Sorry Jason, but you are right and "wrong" too.... in appradio facebook fan page france, mr "lolo" asked pioneer why nothing with "tom tom" navigation , and seems that in fact "tom tom" company is ok, but waiting for pioneer "agree".... and pioneer didn't even answer if it's in "project" or not.... JasonH
If you want to get technical....yeah, it's 95% up to the app developer and 5% up to Pioneer to allow the developer to use their SDK. Pioneer (for the most part) isn't involved with the actual development of the individual apps. The appradio SDK is under an NDA, once the developer signs the NDA, it's up to them to add the functionality to the app.
VBLUE42
And most developers likely aren't going to care about compatibility with these units when you compare the amount of people that will be using their apps stand alone as opposed to the amount that will be using their apps with a head unit. Robbie Woodcock
I would love to see Navigon and Garmin but I doubt ever it will happen
VBLUE42
Navigon is owned by Garmin and Garmin only supports Kenwood units for their app so you may be right. But I agree with you I use Navigon in my in-dash installed iPad and it is by far the best navi app.
