Shackleton
Which would you say is the best NEX model?
tekki
8000 hands down
Jfinley0
8000
myke2241
my 7000 is a nice step from the 110 unit i had in my Forester. The 8000 is even nicer tho!
Shackleton
8000 have removable face?
mattwolrad
Would be bad if the top of the line wasnt the best.
joemamma1954
For me 4000NEX, with AVIC-U260, best for money. I can give up capacitive screen, for detachable face and remote control.
ericvic
I vote 8000 but I haven't played with the others.
DP3343
4000. I have waze and in the future carplay for navigation, it has the removable face for my soft top convertible, and has every feature I care about of the 8000 for a lot less.
blackmamba2621
Unless you care about built in GPS and the capacitive screen on the 8000 the 4000 is a no brainer at half the price.
scotty3x3
4000 for me. Don't need built in gps or capacitive touch. Huge bang for the buck on the 4000.
silence2-38554
Yep, 4000 for all above mentioned reasons.
tickerguy
I vote 4000. Â The problem with integrated nav is that the manufacturers rape you for updates on the maps. Â I have offline mapping on my phone already, I paid for it once, and the updates to the map databases are free. Â Why would I buy into a $100/year requirement? Â I like the capacitive screen on the 8000, but don't like the lack of IR (which isn't important now but might be for me in the future since the wired command set is rather sparse) and also like the removable face. woodscomp
Idk, I got the 6000 at a great price and it says "maps for life". Did not see anything that said you had to keep buying new ones. Otherwise would have opted for a separate cheaper GPS unit.
Shackleton
WOW Great responses! Ive only got a chance to use my installed 4000 vs the KEH-M8200 it replaced with all the same amps and speakers and love it. Im sure all the NEX models are great. Thanks to Pioneer for making solid models with a variety of choice. Good luck to all with the NEX series. I havent been in our local BB to see if they got any NEX units in because I got mine new though eba.
