jtrippe77
Just played around with the brightness/contrast settings and the artwork is MUCH more noticeable, even in the daytime. Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's not as bright outside. Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try this. I can see the art work at night but not during the day. For day time where did you end up with brightness/contrast number wise. I was looking for a suggested starting point. Thank you!

The most recent ios9 beta addresses album art per Macrumors' latest report.
jtrippe77
Bumped the contrast and brightness all the way up and the temp all the way down and now I can see(sometimes faintly( the album art work. Hopefully, iOS 9 improves the album art next month.

hayes40oz
I have iOS 9 Beta 5 running and I can't tell a huge difference in the clarity of the album artwork. The only change I noticed was the size of the artwork in general but not the contrast or brightness.

No chance of getting 2D North-up in iOS 9.

dannyz3343
What do you mean? Is the art smaller, bigger, etc.? The album art no longer has the fade in that it has in iOS 8. So instead the album art is just slightly greyed out and also is slightly out of focus but you can definitely see it a lot better.

If it's not too much trouble could you post a picture of what it looks like in iOS 9?
dannyz3343
9to5 has pics. https://9to5mac.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/img_1032.png
jtrippe77
Thank you. That pic doesn't give me much hope that we'll see much of an improvement.

jtrippe77
I'm not sold that this is a Carplay issue. Rather, it's a Pioneer issue. The reason I say that is that I saw a video from CES 2015 showing Carplay in a stock 2016 Buick. You could see the album art really well. Maybe I need to adjust my setting some more but I just see the album artwork faintly. My brightness and dimmer are maxed out and my contrast is just over halfway. If I go any higher on the contrast the apps are blurred and streets on the Maps app don't show up.

jtrippe77
This is the response when I brought up the issue to pioneer customer support: "No settings for that, try a different USB able and if possible another iPhone." Lame! I've tried multiple USB cord and I have an iPhone 6 Plus You can see the album art better when the lights are on. Is there anyway to make the dimmer settings permanent to lights being on? In other words can I make pioneer settings the same at night and for during the day rather than changing my lights turn on and off? When the lights are on just seems I can see the album art better
