D3 and factory installed XM / CD Changer

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the replies guys. I wonder if there is some kind of adapter that would allow me to use the CD changer. What would be the benefit of reusing the factory XM antenna other than not having to install another? Hrmm...it seems I have a lot to think about before I get the D3...

Thanks again!!

I have a VW Jetta 2006 that had an OEM nav system in it. The GPS antenna is the right cable but even after you take off its plastic housing, the shape of it won't allow you to put it in because it's 'L' shaped. The XM antenna is the same type of cable as the factory GPS antenna cable; however, the avic d3 requires you to get an adapter for the XM antenna if you want to use it.
