Trying to create a custom background and using pg. 66 in the manual gives me an over-square image that has black bars on the side and extends past the top & bottom. Spec's at the end of the manual say Screen size/aspect ratio ..... 6.1 inch wide/17:9 (effective display area: 136 ✕ 72 mm) Pixels .................................... 336 960 (480 ✕ 234 ✕ 3) Thanks. huck Posted March 21, 2007 Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 They state the maximum at 2048x1536 o page 66 of the manual but I quickly found that was incorrect. I played around a bit and found the maximum is actually 2048x1082 pixels. Perfect fit. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

iBoost Posted March 27, 2007 Report Share Posted March 27, 2007 500x240 should work, I went ahead and made it 1000x480 and I'm sure you can make it larger and it would fit nice and flush as long as you can keep the same aspect ration... good luck, mine looks very good! mgill5483 Posted March 29, 2007 Report Share Posted March 29, 2007 I had something weird happen to me. I used one of the pics off the background request thread. It was 500x240 and it worked fine. however, when I made my own on photoshop and made it 500x240, it was way too small, so I made another one that was 1500x720 (72 px/in 8 quality optimized jpg) and it worked perfect. Maybe there is something a bit more technical about it like pixels per square inch or something....dont know. I hope this helps someone. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
