mlammert
I would like to modify some of the built in backgrounds and then load them as custom backgrounds... Anybody know if you can copy the background images off of the NAV DVD and then open them up in Photoshop or something like that??? If so, do you know where they are located on the NAV DVD??? Thanks, Mark
scrupul0us
so that we are all on the same page here.. are we talking 500x240 PIXELS or MILLIMETERS... pixels didnt work for me and looked AWEFUL
mediastorm
The image size should be 1000 x 480 pixels at 96dpi and 24 bit for best results.
soundguydave
I hope you guys simply arent resizing existing pictures to 500x240. If the existing aspect ratio is not that, it will look like crap.
scrupul0us
im a bit perplexed... i took some photos and cropped them in photoshop... saved them as jpg... added them to a CD in a pictures folder with a bunch of other backgrounds (normal desktop size) and when i try to select the one i cropped i get a data read error... BUT all the other ones come up just fine... WTF
oly884
Ok, for those that have done this with a success, how about listing exactly what you did. I've got photoshop, so I'm no noob here However, my first attempt left the photo way to large and it did not fit in the screen. My next attempt left the photos way to small. I tired the 1000 x 480 px at 96 dpi and it resulted in photos way to small.
mlammert
I have created several 500x240 pixel @ 72dpi JPEG (standard non-interlaced) images and they all look good to me... I have attached one as an example... Good luck, Mark
scrupul0us
i figured my issue out... my images where saved as progressive scan in the JPG options... using either optimized or standard seems to work just fine i used 1000 x 480 px and it looks just fine
