Nightcat
Ive finally found a pioneer forums.....its about time... well here is my issue. I have an avic 90dvd with the touchscreen. I also have a pioneer deck(forgot which model) with myipod hooked up to it. maybe its because i have the avic 90 under my passenger seat, but in the winter, it doenst read the disk, i always have to ejectit and put it back in. Im thinking that condenstaion might be the culprit....any ideas? And oh the disk that im using is 1 from the a newer model , i think its the cdmv 50 or something like that. I dont think its the disk because when its warm out side it works pretty good. Here are my main questions though Is it posible to hook my ipod up to the avic 90? It takes waytoo longto scrrol through alubums on the deck. If there is I can just get a newer model deck with bluetooth an ill be set. If not any suggestions. I was looking into the some of the newer models but the only 1 that i liked wwas the z1 and thats $$$$$. I think the major problems that i had with th rest was that i would have to take outthe navi disk to listen to a cd....i think thats stupid.... but enough blabbering, can someone please help thanks gary
whtcrxghst
No, you can't hook your ipod up to the navigation. You could buy an indash screen that can accept the input from your navigation and ipod (like the AVHP5700DVD, AVHP4900DVD, AVHP6800DVD, etc) The ipod control will still be pretty slow though. Nightcat
damn, thanks for the response, well i guess illhave to break dwn and the get he z1 then............
sportsfan21
If I remember correctly, the iPod speed will be the same on the AVHP6800DVD and the Z1, and since you already have the AVIC-90, you can just use that along with the 6800. But if I was you, I would just buy the Z1 instead because you're spending the $$, mineaswell spend a little more and go top of the line.
Nightcat
would it be posible to burn the disk to an external hard drive and use that instead....that would probably stop the problem imhavingright now

GnatGoSplat
Sounds like your navigation has at least one of the following problems: 1) Navigation disc is dirty - Clean disc. 2) Navigation disc is going bad or is scratched - Replace disc. 3) Optical pickup is dirty - clean lens (may require disassembly for thorough cleaning). 4) Optical pickup is weak/worn - send in for repair.
