WGFA
I just purchased the Z2 and it should be here his week. My question is since there in no By-PASS as of yet, does only the video go out? Does audio keep playing? Ie: music dvd's. TIA
whtcrxghst
Yes, there will just be a warning on the screen. Or you can switch to the map screen and look at the map while listening to your music videos

jbhorne
I find it "funny" how as a society we worry more about the jackass watching/whacking to porn while driving than we do about drunk drivers. Um, statistics time here...I don't even think I need to state that there are over 100 times the amount of accidents caused by drunk driving (as well as MANY other causes) than the few idiots who watch movies. How 'bout this: Pass regulation to require a breathalyzer be taken before starting your car. It astonishes me as to the legislative efforts that have been put forth regarding frontal viewing on a monitor. Just ridiculous.

I'm not disagreeing with you in saying that we need stricter regulations for drunk driving. However, a breathalyzer interlock would be the biggest pain in the ass. Its completely different than hitting a button. What they should do is require it to be installed in cars when the driver has already has committed drunk driving. To make a blanket requirement that every car has a breathalyzer test is rediculous.
jbhorne
Correct. And so is a blanket regulation restricting the use of a cunsumer product due to a few liability cases. Companies need to protect their asses now becuase tort cases are out of control. Common sense is no longer common.

whtcrxghst
How would all the alcoholic judges, politicians, and lobbyists get home if their car required a breathalizer to start?
