Wallesasuaz
Hi, I recently purchased the AVIC - N1. The seller claimed to have upgraded the unit to N3 status. I have the CD and everything for the navigation. Everything seems to work flawlessly. How Can I go about checking or verifying this? (price doesn't matter, cause i got it for a steal)
whtcrxghst
Take a picture of the navigation menu and post it, its different on the N1 vs. N3

I'm using the version II ipod controller but I don' get the visual click wheel or nothing. I just have control of the ipod and the playlists.
jhodge83
definately updated software. i have an n1 and running orig. software b/c i havent done the bypass yet. i have a set of 60 cd's and installed those and thats what it looked like.
Danthaman2786
it is probably only the 60 version disk that were installed then and seller made it sound good to get more money out of it....can you watch video at all while you drive?
Wallesasuaz
I can do everything. Video, Ipod, radio..etc. Navigation works like a charm too.. I only paid 500 bucks for the entire unit. I have the p6600dvd and sold that for 450 and purchased the AVIC. so i guess either way it was a win-win situation.
Musketeer
What does your Ipod and Sirius (if you have it) look like? Is it easily controlable?
Wallesasuaz
Well I don't have Sirius or Xm hooked up. Haven't decided on getting that yet. As for ipod interface? It's very generic. Doesn't have all the good stuff like the N3 brain. But I can control Playlists only. Stop, play, fwd, back...and change from playlist to playlist. It won't give you names of tracks or anything, but it will give you the name of the playlist on the screen. Songs will play as: iPOD0001 and numbers start to rise indicating the length of song. cheers
