dan8304
Hey, Ever since i installed my Avic-D1, i lost 2 good FM channels, and my Usual local channels are very weak. they cut sometimes. i dont understand. Is there something i must do to enhance my fm/am antenna. The channels were working fine on my stock radio (05 Impreza). Can someone please help me find an antenna and assist me in installing it? FYI, my car antenna is intergrated in my rear window like most cars, i dont know if this will help! Thanks in advance, this would be a great help for me

kenchar
Depends on your car. What car do you have it installed in? Most cars that have an in glass antenna have a signal amplifier. On my Fusion, power is provided through the radio harness. For that reason I connect the Power Antenna Lead from the AVIC to the proper wire on the adapter and it works just fine. lariat97
New here and I have a small problem. My FM reception cuts in and out while driving in my 97 F150. What confuses me is that it comes in clear when my truck is parked, but once I start driving anywhere the reception starts to drop out. Thanks for the help
cntrylvr79
Something like that, I'd say it's a problem with the antenna being loose or bad.
lariat97
Thanks for the info. I am supposed to take it to Best Buy tomorrow so they can see what the problem is.
