350zx6r
ok. i received the bluetooth update in the mail today from pioneer and gave it a try. After that, I decided to the reset the unit and its been working pretty good ever since, incluiding bypass. Now I have a question do I need to flash the lights every time I start the car? And what happens if I dont flash the lights at one time, will I have to reset the unit again? Cause that sucks. BTW: mine was built in june of 2006. Thanks again guys. ducatiboy
June 06 you needed to flash the lights before the bluetooth update. After you install the bluetooth update, you ground 2 wires and that's all you have to do. No more flashing.

shaneboehm13
I did the Gracenote update and now my 2 wire bypass is not working on my Z1, I also get the parking brake error at startup and does not go away with soft reset? Anyone else have this problem?

bridge4d
I installed the update today and all my Nav menu options are still available while driving. No Parking brake error either. It seemed to take longer than the previous update, about 20 to 25 minutes.
jahmaka
Is this latest update for the Gracenote, for the Z1 or the Z2?

Slo05alti
I did the Gracenote update and now my 2 wire bypass is not working on my Z1, I also get the parking brake error at startup and does not go away with soft reset? Anyone else have this problem? Anyone else with this problem??? If it does screw up the bypass can you get back to stock?
fanito
Wow, I've been out of this forum for awhile and I found that is a good thing to update the Z1 but also may or may not mess up the bypass. I have the 2 wire ground in a June 2006 model. If I apply this update will it mess it up? what will be a good way to do it?
shotgun_customs
The bluetooth update changes the bypass to the 2 wire style. If you already have this bypass it will not affect your unit.
