03Aviator

I posted this in another thread...but it may be the reason you're having issues. It's from an Acura site. Go to post # 15. This is what they are doing to cure your exact same problems: http://tl.acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137415
So correct me if I am wrong, but all we need to do is apply this sealent to the camera lens?
Not the lens...but to all the seams AROUND the lens and the rest of the camera. It sounds like they've had some issues with moisture getting in the cameras. For $5 at Lowe's and a little time, you could find out if that takes care of your problem. I would seal it up good...everywhere there is any possible way for moisture to get in there.
skicrave
That's probably worth doing to any camera before it gets installed.

I am in northern TX where it is 100 degrees plus daily.
03Aviator
That opens up another question Navyguy. I wonder if it's the heat that causes the intermittant cut outs?? I know it's hot as hell here too...but I don't know of anyone with a back up camera that lives here to test that theory out.

marin8703
maybe im stating the obvious but if you guys are gona do this and seal the camera, make sure you apply the seal when it works, other wise if it is indeed a moisture problem and you seal it when it doesnt work you will seal the moisture in it, and it wont work. Hope this helps someone! :D
