1.
I have a Viper 791XV installed on my 05 Accord and when I remote start it, my Z1 does turn on. And if I wait until after the Starting up Pioneer....... screen to put my key in, then the Z1 is bypassed.
I also have a Viper 791XV installed on my 2005 F150 SCREW and the Z1 comes on when I remote start it. The bypass works fine in my truck and with my Z1.
 2. I agree with Cirbirus also about the hacked XBOX. I have one installed in my F150. I have it hooked to a DC-to-DC inverter. Also, like Cirbirus mentioned I have that connected to my battery(fuse in line). When I start the truck it is on and when I turn it off it goes off. This is good if your kids will be the one playing. In my other vehicle my son would forget and I would go to start the vehicle and the battery was dead. I did not ground my XBOX and it works great. It is not permantely attached in the vehicle. We built a small platform that the XBOX sits in. So when we get to a hotel or at ho
 3. Pioneer may have it listed as not working with the Z1, but I have not had any problems with mine or my wifes.
 4. Mine worked fine for awhile and not any more. It is correctly installed. The install is not that hard. Hopefully someone will bring theirs back to life and we all can live happily ever after.
 5.
Here is a stupid question::: I am about to go out and purchase some headrest LCD's for the back of my truck for DVD video for my kid. The question that is probably going to seem stupid is: If I am pushing a DVD to the back screens, can I listen to my other audio sources through the speakers? Do these screens generally support wireless headsets that will allow my son to listen/Watch DVD, while I listen to whatever I want? Or is the wireless headset capability through the Z1? -Steve
Steve, On this forum there is no stupid question. The Z1 is a d

If so did it work?
 7.
I was flipping through the Z1's instruction manual, just trying to learn as much about the system as possible, when I came across the section about the AV Input. I started thinking to myself if I could hook anything up to that and it suddenly hit me; I have a spare hacked Xbox with 160GB of games on it. I start going over everything I would need to hook it up and I realize I already have everything I need: Xbox w/ big Hard drive & lots of games: Check Wireless RF Controllers: Check Wireless Network Adapter for Xbox: Check Power inverter: Check Space on existin
 8.

How did you guys get the upgrade to work? I have tried two different CDRs and they do not work. It just stops on CD-ROM injected. I used Roxio to burn the CDR.
I used nero, burned all the files to the root folder, and made sure that it was set to finalize the cd. The cd has to be finalized, if it's not the update will probably fail. Look around your program for the Disc-at-once settings and make sure that its set to finalize. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the reply. Soon as I hit the submit button I saw my Nero on

 10. it is good with some new CDs but not all. I was surprised it recognized my wife's Spanish CDs before it recognized my R&B CDs.

Basicaly, I'm working with a guy localy who is going to fabricate one for me, then hopefully it will be cost effective so everyone can get one.
BigFloppy have you had any luck with your local guy and the fabrication of a cover for the Z1?

 14.
I am a fan of widescreen and I do like the smooth look. What I was hoping for were some brand recommendations.
I would recommend Vizualogic. They make them to replace your whole headrest. When I had my Expedition I opted to cut the headrest and install monitors. They worked well but did not give me the look I was looking for. The Vizualogic monitors are little expensive, but well worth it.
 15. I have a Treo 650 from Sprint and it works great. I did not have any trouble with the phone book either.
