lostlanguage Posted September 11, 2007 Report Share Posted September 11, 2007 hello, this is my first post and not a good one. i just recieved my avic d3 today and desperately tried to remove the mute wire. after i did i broke the metal hook peice. i was wondering if it will still work, and bypass without that metal peice? jimmy303 Posted September 12, 2007 Report Share Posted September 12, 2007 Many Nissans do not have a wire in the factory harness that matches up with the black wire in your aftermarket harness, so it is best to pull a ground from the metal mounting bracket for the radio. Its not the Mute wire... its your parkbrake wire. The light green wire.... make sure thats in all the way and make sure its grounded properly. Jason Quote Link to post Share on other sites
