Need help. I just bought an 8200NEX from crutchfield. Checking the Firmware it says 1.02. I was under the impression 1.01 is the latest. The unit is glitchy as hell. Random reboots, switches inputs, and takes forever to boot. I have an 8000NEX in another car so I know how it should work and this is a step backwards. My question, is there a 1.02 firmware out for the 8200NEX or do you think it was flashed wrong. I'm tempted to reflash with 1.01 but I'd like to back up the current firmware. Is there a way to backup? Thanks.

Anyone have problems with Radio static after plugging in an iPhone on 8000nex. If I reset the unit the problem goes away and will run great but after a few times of plugging and unplugging an iPhone the HDradio goes completely static. After this happens when I start listening to Sirius it will cut out and give me a "check antenna" If I never plug an iPhone in the radio and sirius don't have an issue. Things I've tried, Reset unit different iPhone different apple cable re-soldered the radio connection

I just install the DDX714 from Kenwood last night. that thing rocks. I was going to hold out for the 9140 but don't wnat to install something that expensive in my truck. The screen is so much more responsive then the avic f-series. just the general feel of the unit surpasses the f. I will admit that i was disappointed that it takes about 15 sec to boot up but i'll get over it. The kenwoods are very menu driven not quite as user friendly as the f series ipod interface, but not overly hard to deal with. so far I am very happy with this unit. I am dissapointed in Pioneer. I get this same issue with my Ipod Nano 3rd gen. reconnect the cable and it finds the device. I guess it's just a pioneer feature
