  1. Well I ski, and you would think that this would be a POI that should have been included, after all Ice Skating is listed under SPORTS! I did a search for "Wilmot Ski" brought up nothing, but when I drove to the place, on the bottom status line, low and behold is says "Wilmot Ski Hls"...imagine that... but why the heck isn't this searchable? How come its not in the POIs? Am I looking in the wrong category?? Pioneers should be slapped for hiding it if its there somewhere (Although I looked pretty good for it) and horse whipped if its not there. Skiing is a popular sport! Do I have to use a
  2. I D/Led this twice, and get an "Unexpected end of file error" when I first open the file. After opening I see that there are 8 filesname that are hex strings 32 chars long and do not have CRCs (00000000) or file sizes! There should be included a .TXT which contains the CRC values, filenames, files sizes and mod dates so I can compare for validity. Here is what I have. There is a folder that contains two files > \Utils\cecmd.exe 337,920 (CRC 84058461) and \Utils\AYGSHELL.DLL 22,528 (CRC 0C8BB370) CopyTool.mscr 1,177 (CRC B09906E2) MortScript.exe 80,384 (CRC 1D8DCC9C) NNtestm
  3. Nice clean looking install...What software version or mods do you have? I'm running 2.0 right now.
  4. The F90BT fits OK, the only problem I had was stuffing the TONS of wiring under and behind it. Maybe if you tore more apart, you could get behind/under it and pull more wiring down as someone inserted the radio. I actually removed 3 of the RCA audio jack pairs from one of the connectors just so there is less to cram in. I carefully removed the pins from the connector so they can be reinserted if needed later.there is plenty of free space up above for accessories. I put the HD radio receiver behind the display in question. I mounted the GPS antenna under the trianglular dash piece behind
  5. Oh you didn't mention the radio station info was output to this same display, so yes its bus data, is this the only information this part of the display handles? Is the a separate LCD display module, or is this radio information integrated into a larger display. Such as the mileage display maybe the top line and the radio info the bottom line but essentially on two separate LED/LCD modules...if so you could open the display up and cut the power trace to radio display module to blank it or remove it from its printed circuit mount. There is another way to trick it but it involves engineering
  6. If you need to paint the Metra bezel, Home Depot sells spray paint just for plastics, its tough and comes in many colors. Go to your friendly Kia car dealer, talk to a tech, have him print out the radio and trip computer schematics pages from his station, scan and post them here or PM me, so I can read them clearly, and I should be able to tell you how to bypass it for you. I have gone to various dealer techs a few times for these reasons and have never been disappointed with their cooperation. Usually you have to talk to the service manager first. Its better if you can go in the early

    Mute the Nav Voice

The pBrake and NON-mute wire doesn't have anything to do with why the NaV voice isn't muting the radio when the NAVI is issuing voice commands. If you were to ground the actual mute wire it would mute both NAV and RADIO simultaneously People call this the mute wire, but after the mod is performed, its the Navigational Bypass and grounding the pBrake is the DVD bypass. You are stealing the mute wire simply because it has the special terminal clip on it, it becomes the Navigational bypass, which allows you to make NAV keyboard inputs while the vehicle is in motion. Use the NAV setting
  8. Hey if you got this guys phone number, and it was in the USA, maybe you can track him down and beat him senseless, or report him to HIS local police, depends on how you feel about it. At least give the number to PayPal security. Hopefully he didn't steal the phone from the original seller, otherwise the hope of tracking him down will evaporate. Maybe the thief is already across the border by now. You got scammed because you never received the AVIC?
  9. There are probably some here who would post nonsence in order to led others to believe that Ebay is a terrible place to shop just to direct sales back to retail stores. But, no doubt there are scammers on Ebay, and retail stores have there own sucker game. I have heard some real bullcrap come out of sales peoples mouth, just to sell you equipment. Its always buyer beware no matter where you shop for electronics...cars...almost anything expensive. 1. Make sure your PayPal account has a different password than the email account that receives notifications from PayPal. 2. Make sure your E
  10. Hookup an LED and current limit resistor to the Constant Power wire, and when you return to your car you will see if the wire is still hot before you start your car. But you should put the LED in a location where you can see it from outside your car before you unlock your doors. Did you have a radio before the 900BT and did it loose the station presets? You like the 900BT over the factory GPS?
  11. I have F90BT ver2.0 and also my clock didn't update this past weekend, I haven't got into the AVIC system yet, my first thought was Microsoft had the TZ screwed up like they have been doing in the registry for the past 10 years...several or more TZs always had something wrong with them. Here is the dump for US Central Time zone in the registry for XP which is correct. Zoom out

Have you tried holding down the joystick, rather than pressing it momentarily? No I hadn't tried that before, Thanks, and its much better than single stepping but I find myself easily overshooting the zoom level because of the map display lag. If any hackers are listening, a zoom out button with 10 steps would be a nice feature.
  13. This appears to be tied into the scheme that is running on the unit. Some of mine are black/white stripped and some of them are red.Try some different schemes on the unit and find one that has railroad color that works for you. I have only two color scenes available on my F90BT 2.0v. A blue and a red. Thanks, I'm now using the RED color map selection, which gives me the Blk/Wht stripped railroads. I have not noticed yet if any RRs are red, this would be HIGHLY conflicting in my area since, one of the major roads I travel is now red (Rte34). Do anyone know which file is the scene co

    Zoom out

It would be useful to have a zoom out screen button. Touching the button once would zoom out an equivilent of say 10 downward presses out the joy stick. Its such a pain now having to press the joystick 20 times or more to zoom out 4 lousy miles. Maybe an menu option could be setup to allow the user to program the zoom out level.

    Moving the Cursor

When searching for a POI I might want to locate one miles away, maybe out of state. I dont have a route setup, and want to use the "Around Cursor" option. I would like to be able to type in a city to force the cursor there, instead of swiping the screen until the cursor is moved there which can take some time. Is there any way to do this?
