  1. For all who wonder why this isn't quite 2GB... The way which this was fit onto one memory card (under 2GB) is that a the POIs bundled are only applicable to the East Coast. -Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia. All of the maps are there, so as-is, it should work without a problem. There is a newer set of maps floating around (at least, they appear newer based on the file names). Ironically, the file sizes are smaller. I think th
  2. Same problem with me with BlackBerry Curve 8330, Touch PRO, Touch PRO2, and Samsung Moment. I do not think that this is handset related. Everything was fine (except for everything else with the unit) prior to my upgrade to 3.0.
  3. I am impressed with this updated nav system software. 119th street is no longer one-nineteen T. H. street. 123rd street is no longer one-twenty three road street. I no longer have n-st street as n street street. The system is extremely responsive, &..."left" no longer sounds like "lep". The system tells you your upcoming exits, the street names, and exit numbers -- and it lets you know the lane you should be in. Routing is intelligent now. The unit is extremely responsive. Thank you for a wonderful update, Pioneer and i-Go. The system is rock solid now. I now will proceed to recommen
  4. Oh... Duh. F700 doesn't have MSN Direct. I forgot!
  5. Unless I'm missing something, I didn't see any references to MSN Direct in the video. Does this retain that functionality? I don't think Europe has the service.
  6. This would be so nice. If only I could reverse engineer the Pioneer executable. We need the source code!!!
  7. Per XMFan, there are new channel logos: http://www.xmfan.com/viewtopic.php?t=102343
  8. Sirius XM's XM utilizes HE-AAC (aacPlus) V1 CBR at 32kbps for most of their channels. They are optimized with Neural Audio branded processors to process for dynamics, stereo image, and to avoid CODEC artifacts. Neural Audio's goal is to maintain the source as close to the original as possible, albeit you have some irregularities at such a low bitrate with HE-AAC. Sirius XM's Sirius utilizes ePAC varying VBR (0kbps - 60kbps, switched in 10kbps blocks) for most of their channels. They average around 30kbps. They are processed with Orban DAB-6200 audio processors to process for dynamics a
  9. http://www.artec.com.tw/ehtm/products/t3ap.htm These boxes are small and they have AC-DC power adapters. The unit itself takes 12VDC in; this means that you could hypothetically engineer a hardwired solution.
  10. Actually, that most likely has to do with a combination of Rayleigh fading and the Doppler Effect, and their impact on the pre-buffer of digital signals. You essentially lose your buffer when you drop your signal parity as you move. The DTV converter boxes have basic digital tuners that are meant to be utilized in a fixed location; they do not do the complex mathematical calculations required to compensate for different types of fading or the general Doppler Effect. There are some mobile HDTV tuners developed, but at this time the technology is highly proprietary, and thus the chipset
  11. "Flat" is as close as it gets to disabled.
  12. It depends on a variety of factors. Namely, the timbre of your speakers.
  13. I'm curious too. This would be FAR more practical!
  14. RadioShack has changed their inventory substantially since then. Unfortunately, I cannot find it anymore. It was a 12dB AM/FM Signal Booster. There are similar products. That said, simply amplifying an antenna may not be the best solution - if you amplify noise - you just get a stronger signal with stronger noise.
