the reason why i didnt include that is because i wanted it to look simple, you add this to your navigatemap800_480.ui if you want the elevation info,

;Display Elevation

extract the attached file and add the elevation.bmp to apl2/common folder

I have made a folder on the FTP server with my latest data.zip along with an "all-in-one" UnzipToSDCard.zip file intended for newbies. All the mods are documented in the readme file. This version has the configurable route info box modded from GTIMatt's file. You can choose the 3 fields displayed under Navi Settings. It is only visible "in route" and the background box disappears in full screen cockpit as it should. ftp://avic:[email protected]/cmh928 no-route.jpg📎 in-route.jpg📎 fs-cockpit.jpg📎 simul.jpg📎 browse.jpg

looks good

Thanks,IDT. Most of the credit goes to you, though.

I should've forced it into day mode for the pix, as they look dull compared to most others. That and the boxes turn to that muted green.

Have you noticed a map drawing slowdown when using different color themes?

Did you get your route info box update done? I had to play with the sc_fullscreen script in navigatemap.ui before mine hid properly. I saw in your original 800_480.ui that you had just moved them offscreen to cure it.

These look like landmarks to me.. Those are always better textured.

With something like RealView, though, even regular buildings show something resembling windows for me, though...

I have a question about the image.res you posted. I like it and am using it, but i have a request if possible. Can you add the original sd card image in the av menu screen. I like that you can see the xm and hd audio but the text is grayed out. Yet the sd card is too dark, i was wondering if you could post one with the original sd card image.

Thanks

I have been using your mod, and I like it alot. I have a F700BT and dont have the need for the MSN Butterfly on the map screeen. Is there a way to change it to something like the audio menu? I want to be able to quickly access my audio controls, so that if I need to turn my sub down or change the EQ settings somthing like that. Is that possible?

Posted Mar 25, 2009 · 19:14 UTC#87

The color scheme shown is Pioneer Blue Night. I found that most of the real view schemes slow down map rendering too much for my taste. If you don't see buildings, go onto the FTP server and download both building.zip files. They extract to apl2\igo\content\building. If you still don't see buildings, you probably don't have any in your area. Try making a flyover of Chicago.

As for the MSN button, it is clearly labeled in navigatemap800_480.ui. You can change it to whatever works for you or just comment it out. As far as I know, only Nav functions and menus are available for use as icons. The source is always displayed in the lower right corner as an overlay. Just click it to get to your audio menus or hit the menu hard button.

I'll be posting another data.zip late tonight that has bordered blue boxes modded from GTIMatt's file.

Great work on the Mod, but I am having trouble accessing it. Can someone upload this to Rapidshare or another site? I tried several FTP programs but I think my router is blocking them, thanks in advance.

Look at the 8th post down and follow Boris' instructions. This might solve your problem, it happened to me too. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=18175&start=15

The FTP site is down right now, or at least web access is. If you use an FTP client like filezilla, it will still work. 66.59.250.9 username: avic port: 21

I'm sure this is temporary. Anyone wanting the file, send me a PM with your email addy and I'll send it to ya.

just a suggestion, on the next street name text, have a width limit so that the street name won't get covered with the button

That's it! I only needed to add the nightguidance files! Thanks! ;-)

I guess the FTP server was being overloaded, so he's trying to figure out how to limit bandwidth. I finished some more clean-up on my data.zip and hosted it on my own FTP ftp://avic:[email protected]

I also posted the speedcam voice files, 3-D Building files, Testmode, a decent SYS.txt, color schemes, and GUGA's menu theme.

If anyone needs their files posted on the FTP, just send me a PM.

The color scheme is monopoly-night

cmh928... is you speedcam mod made to say mph or kmh sound files ??

Posted Mar 26, 2009 · 14:17 UTC#96

Tried loading your files onto my F500BT last night and lost the TTS functionality with Samantha. Any ideas as to why this happened? Followed your directions to the T and everything else worked great!

Posted Mar 26, 2009 · 20:43 UTC#97

If you download the Audio folder from my site, it has KPH and MPH voices, but my scripts only reference the MPH ones since I'm in the US. This is all covered on page 20-23 of "Progress report" in the forums.

As for TTS, search a thread called "fixing up samantha". The hack works fine on mine. Though she still sounds robotic, it's not as bad.

time for an update,

what's inside V2,

-house number mod (pressing current street show's house number, pressing the house number hides them)

-stop navigate button

-navigation mute

-speed limit mod (robotic warning voice, better speedcam warning visibility)

-speed camera mod (better speedcam icon)

-moved buttons

-simulation control (new style and location)

-gps status button onscreen

-setting button onscreen

-changed all stock sounds to igo sounds

-linear compass (GTIMATT style), pressing the house number hides it

-moved half the stuff around

-route info box (everything can be changed in the displayed info menu)

-moved next street text

-date mod

here's the link http://uploaded.to/?id=jke33n

instructions:

1)unzip file

2)put data zip, font file and sys.txt in apl2/igo/ folder

3)optional hacked ezrider and license if you don't have it yet, enjoy

how do i get poi's to show up on my screen. is that a mod or just a setting?

Posted Mar 28, 2009 · 05:14 UTC#100

I think the work you guys are doing looks great! I'm just curious why no one is using something like keepers quicklaunch with the hidden panel for a cleaner look? I've been using that for a while now and just feel it makes the screen look less cluttered and all the icons you guys are using will come up with one touch.
