Woodlander.. Read your owner's manual. It is covered in depth there. There is also a thread linked via the FAQ sticky which has every splash screen you could ever want.

Just uploaded a new version to the NoClock folder. It has IDT's updated Speedcam interface and the IGo Amigo style generic POI's. Canadian speed limits are fixed in it as well. There is no longer a Euro-style speed limit sign in it, though.

Cool... I just wasn't sure if doing the mod changed the way that the uploads worked.

Thanks!

I think your Data.zip might be might my next project. I plan on several changes that i noticed on your screen shots.

i wanna make your warning cameras (big red sign) semi- transparent. current one blocks out a little too much.

possibly your play, pause, fast forward, and reverse more transparent too.

then integrate my latest red theme (includes navi [data.zip] menus and av screens [image.res])

Superman, while your at it, could you add the clock like his NOMSN BIG CLOCK version, or if you could point me in the right direction, I could add it myself. Look at my pic on page 5 "red theme download". I am not too familiar with editing the data zip file yet. Thanks.

ill see whats up. im not a pro at coding but im pretty good with pictures and stuff.

im not too crazy about the speed reading on the the bottom left, cause

1. I didnt install the VVS pink wire so its not completely accurate, there is like 3 second delay when stopping.

2. i would rather have the date on there "5/24/2009" (helps with bills and stuff as a reminder)

3. I already have a speedometer, i dont need to look at my gps for that.

the tilting for me is a little extreme and

1. street names dont display as much as before unless your like right on the street.

2. i would rather have more road on the screen then seeing the sky. (i know a lot of people like seeing the sky, the clouds, and the sun and stuff but im not looking for a Taco Bell in space)

Im not saying these or errors or anything at all, like what Matt's might have accidentally over looked with the box images, but these are just opinions of mine. Preferences.

I will have to play around a bit i think. but all in all, its a great mod.

Thanks superman. I kind of like the way I have it now. I like that I can change day/night schemes at the push of a button, the clock and the other fancy stuff. Maybe I will try his latest anyway. Maybe I will like it, maybe not. I can always go back to what I am using now.

cmh, Is the day/night function in your new mod? Is it basically the same layout as the previous mod?

Day/Night is still a push on the compass icon as before. New versions of all varieties will be posted soon. There are minor tweaks all around, but really aimed at Canadians to fix speed limit issues.

Thanks. I did load it this morning and it does look good. I do miss the clock, though. I also loaded IDT's mod just to see what his is like. I don't know which one to use...I like both but can only have one.

Hello Criley

You mean the noclock version. Did he update the version with a clock also. I need a clock since I don't have one in my car...

No clock. I think he may be working on some others, so just hold out. I have been using IDT's new mod for the time being. His has a clock, but his mod is slightly different, but still is nice.

I loaded the all-in-one this afternoon and it is AWESOME! Thank you so much for all the hard work!

I only have 3 things Id like to mod:

1) I would like the clock to be a little larger and slightly more to the right.

2) I would like North to always be up in 2D mode.

3) I wish the icon bar in the sky would auto hide. If I double tap in that area the bar would appear. And since thats the way I wish it would work, I wouldn't see sky, Id see more map.

Just my ramblings.

Thanks again!

2) not possible as we are using 8.0 version

Hey everyone, I just want to double check before I do this mod. I have a completely stock F700 running FW 2.0.

Can I just use the All-In-One that is provided and voila? mod should work?

I understand backing up my current setup and using testmode...

New version posted to the FTP. First post in thread has been updated.

Biggest change is that there is now only one version for download. Clcok and MSN settings are selectable under NaviSettings/Visual/CustomSettings. It is now possible to have both the MSN and History icons displayed at once. The MSN icon can be made to show while in-route as well.

IDT's Canadian speedlimit bugfix is integrated while retaining the Euro speedlimit sign option. IDT's latest speedcam warning mod has been integrated as well. Clicking an active speedcam warning box will disable further warnings and show a small icon to remind you. Clicking the icon will re-enable speedcam warnings. This setting is saved through power-cycles.

I tested the Amigo-style POI icons and the pulsing cursor, but they are not nearly as visible as the older styles. They may look pretty in still-shots, but they are hard to use at a glance while driving.

I removed MANY unneeded scripts to improve system response as well as making changes to clip-planes.ini and sys.txt to improve roadname visibility.

I did hardwire bypass on my avic f700bt. Can I still install this ( cmh928 mod)? I had software mod in it. Cause I read somewhere in forum that you can only do neither one.

Posted May 29, 2009 · 17:13 UTC#495

I have both SW and HW bypass on mine as do many others. Works fine.

Posted May 29, 2009 · 18:36 UTC#496

This is a great mod, I've been lurking here and using this mod since the initial release on my very recently purchased F90bt.

Couple observations with latest release... did I miss a release or two in the last couple of weeks or are there a lot of new images in the graphics? Definately not complaing the mod looks nicer than ever.

The back navigation arrow shows on some screens and I like it better then the sideways u-turn looking one, but why not use it in all menus? Or is that considerably more work then you want to commit to, which would be completely understandable!

I tested swapping the icons around a bit to see what I liked and during my testing I found that the history icon goes missing after cancelling a route, after navigating to some of the other screens and back to the map view it returns.

I love the ability to be able to select/swap 2 of the 3 icons MSN/GPS/Hist, but would also love to have them all! Perhaps a simple suggestion hopefully you think it useful, just move the GPS icon (or any other preferred icon) to the area where the stop navigation and mute are located and resize them down there if necessary, this would leave the space for history and MSN icons along the top all the time.

Posted May 29, 2009 · 20:39 UTC#497

Moving the switchable icons isn't a good idea if you don't know what you're doing. The return arrow you speak of is part of GUGA's theme, not my mod. There isn't room for all the icons to be visible at once and I am not going to downsize them or remove the Stop/Mute keys as I use them all and have big fingers. Same goes for those who want the icons to hide like in IDT's version. I don't want to double-tap to get a function to work. I like the 3D tilt where I have it and thus the icons block nothing but sky. No need to fade them. Ease of use while driving is one of my top concerns, so I like big icons and everything obvious on the screen. It is IMPOSSIBLE to please everyone's taste, so I make the mod the way I like it. Feel free to mod it further if you like.

I just gotta say that I love the mod! :D

Please don't take what I thought to be a simple suggestion to relocate one icon too personally I'm not suggesting you rewrite or change your mod at all simply suggesting an alterative layout idea. I'm quite happy with using it as-is knowing full well I've not got the time or currently the skill to reproduce or change it and that you don't have to share it much less host it either.

I did not fiddle with moving the swappable icons in your mod, I don't have that skill/knowledge yet and may never. I loaded it as-is and found what appears a repeatable occurence. That occurence being if I change the setting to show the hist/Gps or hist/msn icons through the NaviSettings/Visual/CustomSettings, then set a destination, then cancel/clear my destination, the history icon is then missing from the top row, but the icon will come back after navigating away to other screens and back to the map screen.

I too have large hands and fingers myself so understand not wanting to go smaller, it just looked like the top of the screen was one icon short of space prompting the work you've done to set up a swappable arangement for the choice of preference icons, plus it appeared to me the stop-nav and mute area had some space to spare to add an icon without really interrupting the neat layout you've set up.
