it works like charm 4 me... thanks a lot guys.after tryng the oldschool hardware bypass and redoing a couple of times i rather going to software bypass, the data zip trick didnt worked too, but this worked great. i downloaded the file in about 40 minutes, and the whole thing took me 20-25 minutes, but it whorts.sorry 4 my bad english, i just want to post to say thanks. peace , i will seed this file on my permanent list of torrents.see ya

Everything seems to work fine, except the buildings on the map (the \building folder is copied). Any ideas?
building usually dont work for every city, only a few major cities that i have been to have buildings on them

Upgraded to firm 3.1 (was easy, thanks to AVIC411!)
Updated maps to 2011 (usa) ...took a bit more "hit and miss" but got it, again, THANKS.
But I've NEVER had the steering wheel controls work. I think I know/heard that they were NOT working in v2.0 (firmware) I think I've see that people HAVE gotten it to work, but I'm not sure if it's a setting or a MOD/HACK to download and replace (data.zip file, I think)
Has any got this to work, if so, can you spread the word...

The steering wheel controls have always worked and was never a problem with any firmware. The problem you are having is unique to you or may be mod related.

There are 2 files: 1 .rar (the main file) and 1 .txt (the directions I used).
The main file is just over 1.8gig, so be patient for it to download. I'll leave 'em up there for a bit while you go get 'em.
Updating maps and adding mod/hacks is another story, but they worked out eventually as well!

Tried to update f900bt (2.009000 version) eu unit with this firmware from .torrent file, copied files via total comander and after reboot got stuck in pioneer logo. So replaced back backup. What i did wrong?
Are these files still available? After a long road trip this weekend, it's time to update my f700bt. Getting tired of the sluggish nature of it, and am hoping that I can find a mod to be able to view Sirius presets instead of "1", "2", etc...

All of the mods you see here are navi based. Its been discussed many times before but the audio portion of the unit is not able to be modded.
Just update my F700bt last week, and it works with no real problems. Sometimes it will reset the custom EQ to stock. I do love the new sounds, much more easy on the ears.
Just to help out everyone here, I have uploaded the FX31.rar to my own server. I will keep it up for a month or so. Its 1.72gb in size, and should download faster than the torrent.
