Okay, I got them to work  but, (there is always a but) There is no speed limit slider available for "Mobile" cameras. It defaults to 50MPH. However, if I go into another cam that has the speed limit slider available and pick a number from there (lets say 35MPH) and THEN go back to the Mobile cam the speed limit of that cam now displays 35MPH. I have looked around the speedcam_ui file and others trying to make sense of this but I cannot really see what to change to get this scrollbar to display. Any suggestions?

Thanx,

Bud

Here are some sneak pics for what is coming next. I have put in some more functionality into the 'SplitScreen' and the 'Speedometer'. In the 'SplitScreen, I have added some icons at the bottom giving more fuctionality. I have also added a NEW 'Tripcomputer' to the splitscreen which is activated by the bottom button. The 'Speedometer' , now has a trip computer combined in the application so you do not have to leave the screen to view your trip data. This is also a bonus now that the tripcomputer is working properly. Here are some pics, please give me your input, Thanks

Abb, you pack more and more features on your mod, above are really nice!

This piece of software is getting really professional now ... who knows, Pioneer might want to pay royalty to you someday  .

I would just be happy if Pioneer opened up all their systems! I would love to have a Z120 to mod :)

Look like Windows CE is out of flavor now. Maybe if they decide to put Windows Mobile on it.

Hey, Abb, is it possible to incorporate an "Add Speedcam" quick launch button to the screen when not in route so that I can just scroll and place/edit in the general vicinity instead of jumping through a few screen pokes just to get to the route buttons? That would help us "south of the border" neighbours!

Thanx,

Bud

Yes, I have done that in the UK version by pressing the speed limit sign. It was something that was requested for the UK version, so it was easy to do. I will see about putting a shortcut somewhere in the next update if it is something that people will use

Another thing that I have worked on was to change the 'QuickMenu' to limit it's view for map scrolling/panning in 2D mode as well as 3D mode. This has now been done!Again, to bring up the 'QuickMenu', you just long-click the 'Menu' button regardless whether you are in route or not..

Really like the looks of that. It will help for sure. Haven't been able to drive for 8 weeks now, so I haven't even tried. V4 yet, but hopefully soon. I did buy ANOTHER f700bt for my F-150, now I have one in my Mustang, the wife's Altima and my F-150.....Sure wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't for this community and the efforts by all the Dev's. Honestly I am amazed at the dedication you have Abb, and the inspiration you gave to Chuck. Who knows where this unit will take us.

Thank you, those are words that I am always glad to hear. Automatically when I am in my vehicle, I search for improvements and changes, so as long as I have an Avic, I will continue to be modding. I am really impressed with Chuck, hopefully he will keep at it, as it is very easy to get burned out doing this. I know, I myself almost threw in the towel a couple of times if it wasn't for the support of a lot of members here, which is what kept me going :)

Very nice looking, much more convenient than before!

In mine I have a shortcut from the map menu, then long pressing the start menu will bring to this mode too.

This should be very useful for those that browse map often.

Hey Abb,

in your newest GFX this BMP is not in it: "gfx/Abb/NIGHT/NIGHT II.bmp" as your "ABB EVENING" schemes calls out for it.

Thanx,

Bud

Great work Abb, thanks for creating and sharing it.

I am using FX3.1 with your latest mod - V4.0. I have to delete a few state maps to make room,

is there a way to create shortcuts in .../CONTENT/MAP/ to point to a folder in sd card or usb?

Posted Nov 16, 2010 · 17:01 UTC#150

Ok, this was the first time I have modded my unit. GREAT JOB! Most of these features should have been here to begin with.

I do need some help however. I had it working great but started playing with the menus. After reading about the NAVTEQ maps I decided to see what they looked liked and choose then from the menu. I get a can't find maps error and the F90bt starts the boot loop. I went back in and deleted the user data but this didn't seem to help. Any ideas?

Secondly and I'm sure this has been beat up but after spending hours reading and searching last night, i couldn't find anything recent. IS the bluetooth on the F90BT what it is? I mean is there no way to upgrade the software in order to stream music. I remember when these things first came out the discussion here was that the hardware was not compatible.

I was not able to add the last two folders Schemes and new GFX because of space. From what I'm reading I just need to delete some maps to make space. Correct?

Thanks for the help.

Bob
